Do you remember the Swatch Watch craze in the 1980s? Were you one of those people for whom Swatches were their mode of self-expression? Gosh, they were cool at the time!<br><br><img alt="" src="http://www.swissinfo.org/xobix_media/images/sri/2003/sriimg20030228_1663278_0.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
I remember having a pink Swatch. The problem with Swatches was that their cheap plastic watch band wore out and broke so easily.<br><br>
Ahh. The 80s!

I had one that a friend bought me in Switzerland. I was the only one around to have that design. I loved that watch!

Funny thing is, Swatch now owns many high-end swiss watch brands. Including Omega, Breguet, Blancpain, Longines and Tissot among others. They also own the ETA company, which makes the movements that many other watch companies, like Tag Heuer and Breitling, put into their mechanical watches. In 2010 Swatch is going to stop selling it's movements to companies outside its own group. Look for that Tag to get more expensive.

Um, they're still cool. I have one that's naughty <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"> The numbers are bunnies in kama sutra positions, and if you tap the face, the hands swirl around until they point to a position <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

There's a monster SWATCH store in Times Square, I should think about getting another one. Mine had white straps and it got pretty darn grimey after too much wearing. Good thing I also had the Swatch watch guards <img alt="thumbsup.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/thumbsup.gif">

I had one I bought in Switzerland when I was 16...it was so cool! I think they are still tucked away in a drawer at my parents' house...I should go find them.

Heh! I've had a couple. I think they're still in a box somewhere, but I may have discarded them.<br><br>
One had no numbers. I'm not sure about the other one. They both stopped working and batteries didn't revive them. I don't have good luck with watches.

I had a pink and blue checkered one. I kept breaking the guards. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
I've been eyeing a new one for a while.. I just can't decide which one!
