I've had a small cold this week and was thankful that I'm on an off week and no LR, but wasn't sure what to do today. The last two week's LR's were 17.7 and 18.1. So I decided to run 12 at a harder effort in attempt to run somewhere near my goal pace which has eluded me for most of my summer runs except a few short tempos here and there. .5m wu and then started off. I tried to go by effort, (hard breathing) and figured if I didn't hit my goal, at least effort was there. When I noticed my breathing getting easier, I'd push myself to keep the harder effort and boy, am I happy with that run! 1:33:05 for 12m. That's a pr for my 12 mile training route where my prior my best time is 1:35:00 (2 years ago)! Followed by .5m cool down.

Enjoy your day everyone!
