good morning!

I got out for a few miles before work with the dogs. The pokey pup was able to hang with us for a majority of the run and then we just walked it in.

Nice job with your race RIL! Same for your kiddos, too!

Good morning! I'm up and readying for a three miler before work. Yep, that's right, I got my but tup to get it done before work! I hope I'm as successful tomorrow. I'm going to work on channeling RFTL and get 9 miles done in the early a.m. tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. oy. Tonight's bedtime 8:00 pm :)

Good morning, ladies. Ugh, back to work...

My schedule has been a bit out of whack lately. I normally run for an hour or more on Mondays, but that won't happen today. My long run was pushed to Sunday, so I'll need to rest up a little today. I'm gonna get something in, but it'll only be a couple easy miles. Somehow I have to get myself back on track...

Good Morning!

Well, this weekend was a bit of a bust on my road to recovery. Saturday hammy was a tad tight, ran 5 and it still was sore Sunday so I decided to pop on the bike. I did under 1/100th of the TdF, 20 miles...haha. I'll walk the puppies this morning and see how it feels, but it's kind of throbbing just sitting here, so I may need to back off it for a few days. My arm is all healed up, so maybe I can talk MrJenRuns into doing some open water swimming with me this week!

2oh, feel better! You too, Bob!

3 miles this morning in the wind. It poured rain overnight but it was still very humid this morning. And it must have stirred up the pollen or something because my allergies are awful. My eyes look like 2 pissholes in the snow (as my dad would say). Ah, well.

I did 15k on saturday. I wanted to do 20, but my belly was kinda yucky and my butt was sore from doing hills and lunges on friday. I took yesterday off and rested (even though it wasn't much rest...cleaned the house from one end to the other and mowed all the lawn).

Hola folks. I was a complete bum yesterday. Had full intentions on getting a few miles in and maybe even head to Dad's pool, but I was completely sapped of energy. Ended up chilling at home and watching movies most of the day. I've now seen "The Shining" for the first time (yeah, I'm a little late on that one.)

Tonight; Spinning & pull ups. Upper quads are still reminding me of Saturday's run, so this will probably be rather interesting!

Greetings from Cape Cod. The heat and humidity have broken a little, so I got out for 6.75 this morning. It wasn't a planned distance; just ran for an hour and then came back and mapped it online.

That's the furthest distance I've run in a long time. I'm caught between feeling proud of myself and feeling pissed that I've managed to get this out of shape in the past 9 months.

Diane: If you can run 6.75 without really trying, you're not out of shape.

Clare: I had to smile at your comment about being so sore from your lunges. Ya think????

Ailarie: Saw that in college and was creeped out for a loooong time afterward. Great movie and book. Also, if you're sore tonight, take it easy in Spinning, especially at the beginning of class until you're fully warmed up. You're in control of your bike, no matter what the instructor is telling you to do.

YAY! for early morning runs. I meant to get up to lift this morning, but I had another hellacious night of constant wake-ups DESPITE taking an Ambien last night. Farg.

In the spirit of BigG's sweaty pic last week, here's one of me (headless!) after my 7+ miles yesterday. I started at 8 a.m. and was this drenched.

Soaked all the way through. I was a sight! Details on FB, but Voodoo was with me toward the end of the run yesterday. It was magical.

Morning, friends. After a weekend of standing a lot and running around a track to keep the Show Me State Games meet running, my legs were feeling a little cranky today, but I still managed 4 miles. It was in the low 70s but 80% humidity. I was really feeling it at the end, but when I checked my splits, the last mile was the same as the second mile with a similar terrain, so I guess I didn't really die at the end. I must work really hard to stay hydrated today. The weekend sapped me and if I don't drink enough, I'll be toast this afternoon.

Great running this weekend, including our racers!

Morning all! Our weather broke BIG TIME last night and I've tried to take advantage of it including a nice 7 mi this morning. Lower back has been a little wonky while running lately which can only mean more yoga is required! Will get to the studio this evening.

PC - I have the same chaffing issues on my lower half, no matter what amt of body glide I cover myself with the through-and-through soaking my shorts endure seems to ensure some unprotected spots :(

Morning kids -

Never did get out for a run this weekend. It was a busy weekend (see fun thread) and sleep won out Sun AM, and I did not get home til 10 PM last night. I did get in a sleasy 3.5 this AM.

I am contemplating racing on Saturday. There is a pair of VERY local races near me - a 5 K and an 8 mile race. The start is like a mile from my house. The last race I did was the 5 K here last year. I can either do the 8 M as my long run, or get in a longer run during the week, and race the 5 K. Either way, I am in piss poor shape, so I do not expect anything much more than to survive. Both races are very hilly, the 8 M notoriously so (2 rises of over 200 feet).

FWIW, my current LR (last week) was 7 M, and I have been running 20 mpw pretty consistently.

I got a new running bra when I was in NH at the Champion store. Well, I got two. Anyway, one is black and one is white. I can't get the white one wet because DH has informed me that there's just way too much showing that way. So I guess wearing it alone on a hot sweaty day is out of the question.

Hey everyone. I've been reading on my phone, but it's a pain to post.

Thanks for all of you that honored Voo this weekend. It's hard to believe it's been a year.

My trainer changed gyms while I was on vacation, so I'll be starting there tomorrow morning. It's actually the gym I belonged to before I got married and it's closer to home. Hopefully it will work out ok.

Oh, and my knee is better, but I haven't attempted a run yet. Probably Wednesday.

G'morning all - first off, congrats to ALL of you who got in those runs this week. I know Voo would be proud, but you all should be too

Schedule's kinda' all wacked out. Going to the Giants ballgame tonight (since my athletic club was the fastest at the Giants-sponsored HM last month, we get a special reception and tix to the game as a prize) and it was just too difficult to squeeze something in today. Normally I don't workout on ART session days (which is tomorrow) but I may break that trend tomorrow.

RiL - great job by you and the family...and nice calves pic!

Theia - bike? What bike?

Healing vibes to ((((Jen, 2oh, Ailarie and any other 30s with achy parts)))
