Since I usually run early in the morning and my moisturizer has sunscreen in it-I don't wear anything else on my face. Now, I'm getting something lasered off my face (ok-its an age spot-I'm getting old I admit it!) and I have to keep it 100% protected from the sun for 4-6 weeks to prevent redness. There is a good chance a marathon will happen in that 4-6 week period plus quite a few long runs. Any suggestions? Thanks Damn this getting old is hard

hmmm. wouldn't zinc work the best? not fashionable, but the best? i have a hard time with the sun and in two races last year, wearing 50 spf, i got very badly burned. I am heading out to Death Valley to crew and pace for the Badwater 135 and am seriously concerned. There are some sunblocks people use for desert running and i will try them. Otherwise, if it is on your face, a hat can help as well.
the next one i will try this summer/spring:
dermatone

ps. what marathon are you doing?
