Well long story short.. I learned alot about myself today and about how important hydrating is!

I desperatly wanted to quit at 16 miles... I had ran all the hills ... but I went out for 18.... it took every last ounce of will power to get the 18 mark. 3:20 minutes

Could not really hydrate after mile 8 all my bottle the lids had frozen on and it really got to my muscles.... cramped up bad.

but the week is over with a toatl of 40 miles.

Enjoy your day all.

Richard, don't overdo it in this weather. Funny, my wife usually says the same thing to me.

I got up at 6:00 to run this morning, but chickened out when I saw the wind chill on the Weather Channel. Instead, I did 5 miles after church on the indoor track at the Y -- 16 laps to a mile. I try to alternate 8 laps hard, 8 laps easy, to break up the monotony and to achieve something of a quality workout. I was also pushed by a former classmate the last 2 miles.

Long run...my first 8 miler since getting back into running. Took it really slow because it was my long run and because it was about 14 degrees out. Ended up doing it in about 1:47:00. I drank about a gallon of water myself afterwards over a 2 or 3 hour period.

Also gave myself about 500 extra calories today. Still had a 1500 calorie deficit! Sweet!
