Morning Funsters,

Wet, dark and soggy NW morning. Feeling better but perhaps not better enough for a run. Will see in a bit. The new med level had me racing all day yesterday. I think RA mentioned something about getting a lot done which I did but certainly not anything that required concentration.

Have a wonderful Sunday. May the sun be shining wherever you are!

Morning Dan, hope the sun pops out and you get a run in.

Nice 'fall like' morning here. I think the high is only sposed to get up to 72 today... that was the low a few days ago. They actually have some high 40's for lows on Tuesday morning.

Rest for me. Church, then I need to check my camera's one last time before hunting tomorrow so I can decide which spot I want to hunt.

Dan -- Take it easy. We could use a little rain here to wash away all the allergens.

BBS -- Rest up.

Me -- Out for my last long run of 17 today.

Morning all,

It's a little bit wet here today...not raining at the moment though. Nothing for me until later this evening. I have soccer in a little while, but I won't be playing, just helping on the sidelines...I had already taken myself out of the lineup earlier in the week when I was struggling through the post-race recovery. Instead I'll probably do 5-6 easy miles tonight. Feeling pretty good after that long ride yesterday.

kevin/BBS - enjoy the rest days

Chances/RA - enjoy the dueling long runs...let the hype and trash-talking begin.

Dan - nice job on the 37 minutes

Chilly start to the day, only in the 40's! Rest day for me. Went to church this morning. Will take the hound for a stroll in a bit. Then, church again this evening. The pastor I really like left to plant a church. They meet Sunday evening and I've gone the past two weeks since I raced in the morning. Starting to think I might just go with the church plant.

Dan -- Good job. Glad you were able to get out there.

Hawk -- You're a good man to help out. Enjoy the easy run tonight.

4boys -- "Plant a church?" (confused heathen countenance.) Rest up.

Me -- 17 went alright. Got through it, but HR very high for the pace and effort. Everything just feels off.

News flash for idiot runners. The park has 20+ miles of trails. If you happen to run on the only trail where dogs are allowed (named "Coyote Run Dog Trail) expect to find dogs. Do not be upset by said dogs. If you don't want to deal with dogs, run somewhere else!

chances--a church plant is where a pastor and part of the congregation leave to start a new church. This church plant is meeting in the basement of a down town church. Very contemporary--casual dress, rock music, etc. I think they started with 30 or 40 people. Last week (their second week) there were 70 people!

Hi everyone. I had one of my best runs I've had in awhile today. 5 miles, at a brisk pace. It was harder than this pace used to be a few months ago, but it felt good to dig deep and get it done.

Dan - Nice job getting out there, the sun is nice but for the long run I'll take overcast!

BBS & Kfuller - hope your Sunday was restful

RA & Chances - So that is pretty much it for the long stuff... time to get the legs fresh again

4boys - ha, Coyote run dog trail... hopefully there are no Coyotes! Don't let the idiots get you down.

jebba - way to go on the fast five!

I was fortunate to be able to get out for 16.7 miles at 9:30ish this morning. Just about ideal, mid to high 50s... a little windy but trail had lots of cover and really only felt it on overpasses... actually fastest miles were into the wind. Nice and easy, very even about 8:04 pace overall with just a little HR creep at the end. Still some stiffness in the hamstring but not too bad. Tomorrow's morning low is 42!
