Good Morning Kicksters!

Hally - awesome bike ride yesterday! I can't imagine biking that far!

Is today Johnny's marathon?

Nice cool morning here. 7 easy, untimed miles for me.

Good runs to all today!

eta - how do you get the thread title in bold? I tried the around it and they showed up . . .

I ran for 30 mins on the bike path along the river near my mom's house. It was nice and cool with low humidity but my calf tightened up almost immediately. I don't know why - I had warmed up for 5 mins, and stretched a little. This was the same calf that I had torn last Christmas so I was very concerned. I ran slowly but managed to do about 3 miles in the 30 mins.

My mom said to me - when was the last time you ate a banana? She's right -- it's been about 3 or 4 days. That could have been the issue. I did drink gallons of water yesterday so it wasn't a dehydration issue.

Anyway, I'm going to skip running tomorrow but will try again Tuesday. I'm starting week 4 of the running program tomorrow (well, Tuesday).

I miss my hubby & dogs while I'm here at my mom's but I'm heading home tonight.

Hi Pink, not sure how to get the title in bold hmmm.

Not moving too fast today. May run, may gym.
Susan, a calcium deficiency can cause cramps, too.

Pink, the thread title shows up in bold if there have been new posts since you last opened it.

{{Da Dog}}

Going to check out hally's report!
Actually, one of the girls was passing out Tums before the ride yesterday for the calcium for cramping. Guess there is something to that Mill.
Howdy all,

Did 9.3 in just under 80 minutes on a gorgeous morning. Been slacking of late due to busy work schedule but hope to pick it up soon.
Thanks for the suggestions about calcium. I don't drink milk so Tums or calcium pills may be helpful.
Susan
I'll read about your bike ride later Hally! I can't wait to see how it all went. The most I've ever done on bike is 150 miles - split over two days. It was the MS150 ride out of Seattle - rode all around Whidbey Island and over to Port Angeles. It was fun, but I was not ready to sit my butt back down on my bike for quite a while after that!

No run for me today - cold, rainy day here in Oregon, so I'm just staying indoors and getting a few tasks done. Made a bunch of applesauce yesterday and that turned out real well. We are having friends over for dinner tonight so we are doing a london broil, twice baked potatos, beets and green beans (out of garden) and I'll make an apple dessert dish.

Hope Johnny's marathon went well and the weather was decent.
Tamster: Sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

15 & change this morning. Ran 4-miles with each dog and then 7 & change on my own. Now, on to yard work.

Roadhawk: Are you ready for the 7th?
hally, you rawk!
Hope that was a comfy 50 min HH, tomwhite
..situations like this do not bring out The Best in Us/////////
Just poking my head in for a quick hello.
About 3 1/4 miles at a pretty quick pace (for me!).

Explored a county park near me that I haven't been running at before. Got there before too many picinicing families. The Garmin sure is great for this...just strap it on and run and explore, check out the milage and pace after.
1:25 on the mountain bike because the weather was too filthy for Spider. I decided to make the best of the foul conditions and went looking for mud puddles. Only disadvantage was that my toes got wet and cold by the end of the ride.

I still have to put in a 20-minute recovery run some time today... but first, we're going to unpack DD's room for once and for all. Poor thing has been living out of boxes.

Sans, spill it. How'd Pro do?
I hear tell Pro is relaxin on the porch right now dreaming up a RR. I have half a mind to call him and DEMAND a report!!
Aw, don't be so hard on the lad, hally. Maybe his Spellcheck is on the fritz.
uhh
He doesn't have a spellcheck
Hey there Mudpuppy, I was wondering where you were. Durn work.

tomwhite, you really don't believe she'll be going home after a week, do you?

I knew it, Tammy really does hate my favorite running weather.

We are owed some race reports, I believe. Come on guys, your race is not over until you write a report!
.......millbot//.......actually, Pickles goes back to knoxville in another week so, yep.......Dog Gone.....

.......I just have to pretend it isn't here for 5 more days....

( I decided Passive Resistance was they way to go this time)
