<p>7-8 mile solo trail run this morning in 1:10. Bounced along these more technical trails pretty well.</p>

<p>Everyone must be out being athletic!  DH and I did a video spin class this morning and then strolled around acres and acres of a fundraiser art show for another library.  It was like being in an outdoor museum!  More than a bit too rich for our pockets, but still a lot of fun.</p>

<p>Nice run, Thor!  I hope to run a few miles tomorrow morning.</p>

<p>Up bright and early for our local Race for the Cure. Pushed the Little Otters for the 5K, then they walked/ran the 1-mile with me. I got stuck behind the walkers, so took a long time to get out, but I knew that was a possibility going into it. Ended up with about 33 minutes (watch - no chip timing) which given how long it took to get going, the hilly route and the jogger, was just fine. <img alt=":)" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif" title=":)"> </p>

<p>First fall rain.  How can you tell it's a fall rain?  Simple...it's finally COLD water falling from the sky.  Nice!</p>
<p>So, we were indoors today....that means yards, not meters, and LOTS more flip turns since we were shortcourse instead of longcourse.</p>

<p>I survived the "glueling 3000ft climb" (in the pro winner's words!!).  The indivisual result note I received I was 13th out of 14, but the results posted on their website said I was DFL at 12th.  </p>
<p>After the huge excitement and late night party, I am exhausted and am a hurting puppy - made a few boo-boo's.  Xray to be done tomorrow on a few spots.   </p>

<p>Half Marathon race in Wilmington, MA.  Decent effort with steady splits.  Finished 9th place OA in 1:29:13, ave 6:49/mile.  OK race, but leads me to believe that a sub 3 hr marathon on Oct is unlikely.</p>

<p>DOR here - unless you count pulling the boat out of the water and crawling around underneath cleaning it a workout...boohiss...summer is over at the lake!</p>

<p>Had an AWESOME 5 mile run!  The weather is getting cooler.  It was 69 on my run (normally, lately it's been 85-88).  What a difference 20 degrees makes!  AND the humidity has dropped.  Hello Fall!  I ran negative splits the whole way, which is hard on that route because there are hills in the middle.  My first mile was 9:20 and my last was 8:46.  Average ended up at 9:05.  My pace steadily increased.  Not quite an LT run, but it was a good effort.</p>
