ms - nice running there to have kicked SS's bad a$$ bunny!
gin - can't get much nicer than this weather! Hope you enjoyed your bike ride!
runinb - wtg on the weekly mileage. Sounds like things are definitely improving!

Last night I went with my husband to the Celtics exhibition game at Mohegan Sun against the Sixers. My FIL got us the tickets. It was fun to go to, but disappointing that 2 of the top 3 players did not play - they were dressed in suits - Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. It was nice to get to see Ray Allen play though. I graduated from UCONN and used to follow basketball when he was on the team. Kevin Ollie, another former UCONNer, was on the Sixers.

Today got in a nice 7 miler. The weather was beautiful. In the low to mid 70's and sunny. Then later enjoyed my son's soccer game. If the weather could stay like this every day . . .

Welcome, grommit!

Happy tapering, perchcreek!

tomwhite: pie warning, look away!

Tamster, we made your caramel apple pie recipe today. Oh wow, that is heavenly. It is worth the work, and worth some extra running to work off the calories. Thanks again.

LabD, I added some dorky photos just for you. Winter attire is simply not the most flattering LOL.

Just finished reading Roadhawk's RR -- nice runing!! 17 minutes is huge.

I was thinking about SS and MS's Victorian Run today -- I bet that would've been fun to tag along on.

Oh, ran 3 miles in 25 mph winds. Good thing I don't mind the wind too much.

Ahh choovie, nothing dorky about that smile!

Welcome grommit! I think I remember you from some place also. Or is that just a really bad pickup line?

Hey ks, you're welcome! We had some just real gnarly weather this past week. Happy to share. We're actually suppose to have an Indian summer this week. That will be nice!

Glad you liked the pie Mill! It is worth the extra effort - and hopefully worth the extra miles you'll have to run to work it off!

Sorry to hear about Puddinhead, but it does sound like you made the right decision.

I ran a great HM today, thanks in part of all of you. I did think of many of you several times throughout the race and I KNOW wanting to come here and prove you all right (that I could run a strong HM) motivated me to run strong. I posted my report over at the finishing line forum ( I think that is what it's called). Plus the same report is posted at CR.

Thanks so much to ALL of you for the encouragement you gave me. I really and truly did not think I could run a sub 2 hr. I was thinking 2:02-2:04 was more realistic for me. Dang - I loved this race today!!

I'm trying to get my running by osmosis by watching you all on this thread: thanks.

I had to take the day off. My problem yesterday was not my back or sciatica (I think) but a glute strain or spasm. It's recovering fairly quickly but with 4 days left to my goal race I'm not taking chances. Lots of sitting on a hard rubber ball, hanging from my "bat bed" inversion table, etc.

And in even better news, it looks like AZ will be in the 90s for sure. Oh joy.

Can anyone tell I'm getting angsty yet?

In better news, my 100 mile running costume is coming together. It looks a little like what MS Pink was wearing at Portland, but much more slutty.

16 miles of running under IRC, 13.1 of them timed, slightly faster than usual.

The Ducks smash the dawgs in Seattle, a good weekend for Oregon.
