Good luck to the racers today! (I know there's a few marathoners, at least.)

My long run of the week: 7.4 or so miles with two gals who I trained with this summer. We all laughed that just a little over a month ago we were doing 20's together. Took the run easy: 1:08:44 (9:18 ). Not feeling too bad 2 weeks post marathon.

Jen, it's good to be normal again, isn't it?

6 miles for me today - sunny, windy, temp in the 50's. Now, I'm gonna try and rake all these stupid leaves.

6 miles yesterday and a 10 mile race this morning. It was fun. I was goofy and wore a Halloween t-shirt -- the silly kind that they make at Target every year.

Great running everyone.

We scored a fine day to run in Grand Rapids today. A clear and relatively calm 34F at the 8am start -- about 45F at the 3 hour mark.

Naturally, a report forthcoming, but I managed to shave 4+ minutes off the PR:

1:33:28
1:30:39
3:04:07

Good marathon days don't come along all the time, so I have nothing to complain about!

8 miles of the very energetic and fun MCM course with Missy, I mean, merigayle.

Really, how can I say anything less than positive about an event that has multitudes of strapping young camo-clad men encouraging participants?

I am not going to spoil meri's race report, so will simply say overall it was a lovely day in DC and such a great time all weekend, including this run.

My Sunday...

10/28: Cape Cod Marathon, 3:19:06.

Which is noteworthy only because it occurs in the context of:

10/7: Portland Marathon, 3:08:50
10/14: local 10K (actually 198m too long! ): 40:18
10/20: Breakers Marathon (Newport, RI), 3:19:10

That's 3 BQs and a shouldv'e-been sub-40 10K in 4 weekends.
