Wow - where is everyone?

Tammy - awesome run yesterday! You're all set to go for your 1/2 !!!!

We had an early soccer game this morning and then we have another late afternoon today. I came back for an easy 6 mile run - although it did not feel easy at all . . .

Pro - not sure about after the race. My personal assistant (my dad ) usually drives me in and my son has an afternoon soccer game . . .

Have good runs everyone where ever you are!

awww Pink, we would love you to join us for lunch. How many soccer games does DS have and how many times can you dine with imaginary friends?
Maybe you can get a ride from lunch to the soccer field? Wouldn't hurt to ask in the Hartford thread on CR. I'd volunteer but I usually like to have a few beers so probably a bad idea.

I wasn't going to ride today but a vm from tomorrow's riding buddy who said he couldn't make it after all changed my mind. Slower pace today, 36.56 miles at 12.7 avg 127 avg hr. Plan to run tomorrow.

OK, where the heck are all the rest of all y'all

Afternoon Pink, Hally, and Pro
Tammy congrats on your long run yesterday.
I finished the week with 59 miles of the 60 I was hoping for. Goal next week is 65 and just ran an easy 4.25 miles on my scheduled day off so I might be able to make the goal. 90 degrees today makes for a slow wet run.

Thanks for the smiles and encouragement at Portland, all!

As usual, SS was an absolute rock and source of smiles and inspiration. She passed me at mile 23 like I was running backwards.

I'll take a minute of breathing the same air as SS for the price of running backwards any day.

Went for a bike ride then ran some , then rode home. 39ish+ on the bike , 14.5 by hoof.
It took all day but felt good. Same route as last week, no camping or racing this time.

Okay one wierd detail. I'm stretching after the first bike leg--lotsa of bikers coming down the mt.
I overhear a guy say to his buddy as he passes,
"That guy (me) looks just like J___ Faherety."
I think a second and holler, "You know J___ -- and his wife Kathy?"
He says, "Yeah, over in Asheville (100 miles south)"
(sure enough- good friends of mine)
"I know them, Kathy helped deliver our first kid. Tell'em you ran into JJ"
And they rode on.
Its a small world, but steep in places.
Great picture Lab! I bet you all had so much fun. I'm anxious to read up on RR's tomorrow.

Thanks for the congrats on my long run yesterday. Surprisingly I feel pretty good. My inner right ankle is a little sore and that's the ankle I was having problems with this past spring and then it seemed to go away and hasn't bothered me much for the past couple months, but after a long run like yesterday's, I figured it'd be a little tender. I didn't do any running today and am still debating on whether or not to go out for a short one. I'm at 28.75miles for the week and I've never hit a 30 mile week before, so I could try and do that. I think even 28.75 is a weekly PR for me though. I did do about 3 hrs of fall yard and garden clean up today though. I think moving around like I have been yesterday and again today is helping my legs, because I'm not sore at all. I can still feel a bit of "fatigue" in my legs, like when I'm walking up and down stairs, but no soreness really.
