<p>Caught unawares by the change in time was surprised to wake and find it light out! Oh well, not the first time.</p>

<p>Lousy nights sleep and still a bit tired from my travels but I WILL do something today.</p>

<p>10 mile race for me, PR by 2 1/2 minutes. I used it as a workout so maybe next year I'll actually race this one.</p>

You don't know how hard that was for me to do. There were a few times during the event that I just want to drop the pace down and run hard but I have to trust my gut instinct and stick with my plan. I kept telling myself that I did not train all these months to race a 10 miler, I trained to race a marathon. That is what kept me in check. Tapering is hard sometimes.</p>
