Nuthin' yet except laundry and yard work - does that count? :) Probably going to do either a short run or plyometric workout tonight. Did weights yesterday and my body is rebelling today...in a good way of course.

First time I've logged a workout on here in a while. Sorry I've been out of touch, but I have been lurking off and on over the last few weeks. I'm gonna commit to being more consistent about actually posting on here.

Intended to do a 70min run ~5.5 miles.

21 and sunny, no wind (AWE-SOME) but...it was entirely SUCKTASTIC and that just didn't happen. I've been experimenting with orthotic stuff and shoe stuff because NewBalance discontinued my shoes and the replacements ARE NOT THE SAME danggit. But today was TRIED AND TRUE shoes and orthotics and.... might as well have had none in. I think I may have finally killed these shoes, which sucks because I haven't figured out a replacement model yet. Arg!

So after 5min run, 5min stretch, repeat until I gave up around 28min and walked it back.

Got the family back to Chicago and then noticed it was 48! (ok 43 but still) so I went for a 52 min ride OUT-FREAKIN-SIDE. NICE!

Erm...woke up yesterday and decided to sign up for the Seattle half marathon on a whim. Yes, crazy, I know but BrewDad was running the full and I needed to get 13 miles in over the weekend. Granted the 13 was broken up into 5 & 8 milers but it worked. The plan wasn't to race it but to use it as a marathon-pace run and I came in exactly as planned in 2:00:47. We stayed with Tri-Tammy and I saw and chatted Kristine between miles 6 & 7 before the bigger hills started. It was a good morning.
