I'm having breakfast right now and waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. It's a beautiful sunny day. Gonna go out and run 15 hilly miles. Three weeks to VCM and I did my last long run last week.

Will report in later. Hoping your weather is as nice as mine.

I ran 5.75 miles with the group yesterday, then came home and fell victim to stomach flu. Things seem to be better today, but no running planned.

Alex, I'm wondering about the quality of your everyday walking around shoes. If the soles are worn out or uneven, and you walk a lot, you might be tearing up your calves because of those. It is definitely something worth checking out.

Duck - I use some Asics 2090s from freshmen XC that I probably put about 100 miles on. I think they are fine, I really think it has to do with sprint speed workouts because like running on your toes you know? After I build this little inclined thing I think things will loosen up.

I better get my sorry ass out the door, didn't even run yesterday. I was sort of busy but this whole track thing is wearing me down. After practice I can't run for the life of me, if only I didn't have to read Wuthering Heights I think I'd be fine.

7.5 miles today. I felt like listening to music, so I stayed off the roads and just ran laps around the small park near my house. It's .55 miles around, so it was basically 13 laps.

I'm so glad I never had to read Wuthering Heights

6 miles today, 1.3 mile warm-up, 4 mile race, .7 mile cool-down.

I ran the race because it is close to where I live and I didn't want to run my 6 alone today. I won 2nd place in my age group. This fact makes me laugh bacause this race had 8 participants in the 10am wave, and 3 in the 11am wave. There was a mix-up about starting time on the websites involved in promoting the race so they decided to run it again after the first group returned.

I ran in the first group and finished 7th out of 8. The 8th guy was gaining on me at the end, but I put on a burst of speed! It was exciting I tell ya! I don't think he thought I had it in me, and he was trying to do a "Street Sense" on me. But I really don't like running in the morning. I was completely lacking in energy. I think I have to eat more at night, or eat breakfast earlier than I did when it comes to the VCM. Still, not a bad run. 4 miles in 39:23 which is faster for me.

5 miles in 54:30. My longest run in about 4 months. Then 40 min pilates. My dd wanted to do pilates with me, so alot of it was just trying to avoid bumping into her or trying to get her to get off of me while I did the exercises.
