9+ mile moutain run early this morning. Climbed Wachusett Mountain on the auto road and added an extra climb of just the top portion (a mile stretch that resembles Mt. Washington). Took trails back down. Slightly sluggish from yesterday's race.

FINALLY getting into tri training. First race of the season is in three weeks so I guess it's about time?

OW swim. First of the season. After breaking through the ice, son1 and I enjoyed a nice little splish splash. Guessing it's about 500m. Exiting the water we ran into a former coach who confirmed that hte water temp is 58*. Sporting tights and long sleeve UnderArmor the water wasn't that bad.

Bike. Rode the old Wendy's course. Felt pretty good considering yesterday's 41miler. Kept it easy because we knew we weren't done yet. 18m, 16mph

Run. Certainly feeling yesterday's 5K and ride! Plus it was getting stupid hot. Kept it easy, just needing to get the legs used to running off the bike. First off, sprint to the bathroom! Then ran on the sidewalk by the beach, then up to the main road. Needed an extra loop of hte parking lot. Ended with 2.15m, 8:45pace

6m run with one of the little otters in the stroller. Felt a little tight and sore to start, no doubt due to yesterday's falling off the planter incident. But after a couple miles, everything loosened up and per Garmin, splits were just about normal for pushing the stroller. Yahoo!

I'm trying to figure out the next A race...have a 5K on 7/4 and sprint tri on 9/11, but I am really missing tri training so I think I'm going to look for some additional races this summer. I cleaned up the bike yesterday...might have to do a shorty ride tonight just for giggles.

Gorgeous day for racing. Had a blast in the woods. 1st AG and 10min. improvement over the last yaer is a good way to start the racing season. The hill called "Cardiac Arrest" still got me, though.

a 6hr @ 100 ride turned into 6:38 and 101. 2:49 on the way out, almost 4 hrs on the way back. Oh, and I was in a tornado watch area I find out later. I'm not surprised. It went from 50s and almost no wind a 7am to 20-25mph headwind and gusts + 86 degrees by the end. Went through 10 bottles of water. Wowzer.
