Nice run - Ran with the group. Jeff Galloway was in town for a training class our running group sponsored in conjuction with Fox Cities Marathon. Jeff Joined us for the run - Didn't really see him except at the start - maybe he was taking a lot of walk breaks

I ended up with 17 miles - 11 easy and 6 that we were at the fast end of easy to almost MP. Suppose to be recovery day, but oh well.

Good running to all -

I cut down my planned 7.5 miles to 10K today to let my legs recover a little more from yesterday's 15. I'm supposed to have a softball game tonight, but I think we'll be rained out.

2 hour run. my legs were a bit more tired than i would have liked. I have to admit i am not invincible. my overall time was surprisingly okay when ifinished the route, so maybe it was the humidity bogging me down more than anything else? oh well. i am happy.

Yes - The Olympian - Famed Run-Walk Guru. Nothing wrong with run walking - Anything that gets people more fit is ok with me - its just not for me - Unless its a 50 mile trail race.

Started out thinking I would get in 6 or 8 miles. Ended up with 3. I hate running in the morning. In order to not run out of energy, I have to tank up the day before it seems. And I didn't do that yesterday. Fine. I'll do it next time.

gb, lately I'm not so good in the morning, either.

Dropped mr jebba off at the hospital this am at 7. Met up with SIL and BIL and their two kids and my two kids and went out for breakfast. Much hilarity and tears ensued. Then the in-laws took Easy and Sunshine to the pool with their kids while I got in a workout. But I had just eaten and not hydrated enough, so I only ran about 25 minutes before throwing in the towel. Also my shoes, which I swear only have about 200 miles on them, are giving me shin pain. Curses.

Miss Sunshine is really ready for swim lessons. She's not yet three, and was trying to jump in the pool by herself, dunking her head uder water, and saying, "I want to swim by myself! I want to swim by myself!"

55 easy minutes over hills, with 8 by 100 meters at 10k pace thrown into the middle. No bears today, but there were three yesterday.

Easy (Ezra) is 2 months old and as chill as the Buddha. Miss Sunshine (Solana) will be three soon and is the little girl with the curl: sometimes very, very good, and sometimes horrid.

My Kate (2) is like an addiction - The highs are oh so high, the lows are oh so low and when you are away you always feel wanting for more. She is either happy, twirly, giggly making your heart sing or stubborn - doesn't listen - whining - making your soul scream and wondering if you have any parenting skills at all.

My Erin (6) has always been like a teddy bear - cuddly - happy - does what she is told - makes you feel warm and fuzzy and thinking you are a great parent.

I can ingore whining for hours, but my wife is a wee bit Irish and only can take so much.

I didn't run very far today. But I did win 2 gold medals at the Connecticut Senior Games in the 40-49 age group. 100M (14.10) and 200M (29.92). The times are slow, even for me, due to a very stiff headwind.

Hi all:

Flounder - I got the chance to meet and run with Jeff Galloway and his family in the summer of 2000 in Fairbanks. Very nice family. We did about a 10K with the running club and then went out for dinner afterwards. Very nice family.

Arrojo - Congrats!

Everyone - Great efforts today.

It was an absolutely struggle tonight. About the only thing that went my way was the weather tonight. At least it wasn't 90 degrees like the heat index was last night.

A tough tonight. A lot of things were not right. The sore throat is still bothering me, but is getting better.

The legs were also dead and felt like stone. GI track was a bit upset.

I fought through it all, passing several chances to pack it in early, and gutted it out.
Run Segments
Well done EQ! Way to get the miles in even when you weren't feeling well.

I ran an 8K this morning and had a PR even though I can't help but wonder if the course wasn't short. Total mileage including warm-up and cool-down came to 12.4 miles. Very pleased with how good I feel.

EQ, great run!

I looked at the course you ran. How can you remember that. Whenever I trie something much simpler, I either get lost or take a wrong turn and end up running a much longer or much shorter course.

Thanks Martin and Lofc.

Martin, to be honest, this route is based on my 15.2 mile loop. The 15.2 mile loop is a loop I've been using for years, so I know it like the back of my hand.
What I normally do to make life easier, I use the mile markers from the 15.2 mile loop. Then I track the add-on's to that loop seperately.

It works for me.
