Morning all -

Well, after my race yesterday, I went for an easy unwind run this morning. Along the grand Canal for a 20 minute plus jog/run. Nice and steady, no real exertion, around 8:30 pace on a pleasant Sunday Dublin Summer's Day (You work it out, I can't!)....

Hope y'all have a good workout

7 very slow recovery miles after yesterday's long run. Still a little sore but not too bad. Have a great Sunday

@5.5 miles of trails in 54 minutes. Easy recovery run. I love running trails, especially when it's a gazillion degrees out and humid like it is here today!

Puts me at 45.8 miles run this week. Going to bike some later, probably 20ish miles or so.

Today is usually a complete rest day for me, but after laying around feeling like hell from late afternoon yesterday and thru the night I just had to get up and do something with myself. I am feeling better plus it's a beautiful day so I went over to the pool and swam 50 laps. It felt really good. And it was nice having the whole pool to myself.

I'm hoping to finally buy a bike today (I've only been talking about for a frickin' year!) so maybe/hopefully I will get in a bike ride later.

Pleasant out today by the lake. High 60s, overcast and breezy at 800am.

Biked out to the trailhead and took the long way home after the run, 12 miles total.

Ran 18 miles in 2:27. The first 9 were with a friend at about 8:45 pace, then the last 9 at about 8:00 pace.

Good luck with the bike purchase, Aphi. <fingers crossed>

6 miles this morning - 85 degrees and sunny. Then I mowed the lawn. Wanted to try and run with Jen and her friends but DW and I were celebrating my race yesterday until the wee hours and couldn't drag my sorry butt out of bed.

Adductor very sore and stiff early on, and my whole left leg (my jumping leg) was sore as well, but everything felt much better by the end of the run.

I ran 14 miles today!!! yes, they were slow, and one member of the group fell back with me (can I really lose almost 2 minutes in 5 weeks???), but the calf held up.........the PF is gonna rear it's head again, though.

12 miles in 1:34. My legs were a bit tired after yesterday's brick, but rebounded well and finished the last few miles averaging 7:30's despite the climbing temperatures.

6+ hours on the trails. Was very hot and sweaty. Seemed worse than last week, but it is only 90F today. Overall really good run. Ventured onto a new trail as part of my loop and it was AWESOME!!!!!!! I concocted an approx 2 hour loop that i repeated this week.

Wow you guys are insane...I'm jealous because this is my cutback week and I'm chomping at the bit to get in more miles for XC. I'm trying to play this as smart as I can though.

Off for my run and hopefully a bit of biking later.

Stay cool!

Things did not go quite as planned this morning so instead of running 10-12 miles at Stone Mountain I had to resort to plan B. Finally I went to LA Fitness at Northlake at noon and did two sets, 60 minutes each on their treadmills for a total of 12 miles. I did 6 minute runs at a 9:31 pace and 1 minute walk breaks.

Afterwards I treated myself to an nice 32ounce Orange Smoothie at QuikTrip.

21.4 miles on the bike this afternoon, against 32mph gusts a lot of the way, and on tired legs. I usually average 16-19mph. Today was 13.5. Oh Yeah I was sloooow.
