Morning everyone...

Sorry I haven't been posting but there's been nothing good to report so I thought I'd refrain till there was. However, on this auspicious day I couldn't help but solicit some well wishes for reaching the age of that ol Beatle song. Come on, you know which one....

Anyway. Happy Birthday to me, happpy birthday to me...

Happy birthday, Dan!

I haven't gone out yet. I am going to run a bit and then walk/run with mr jebba. Yesterday's 5k with DD was fun, but very cold. About .25 miles in, she said, "are we almost done?" Oh boy. Picture 3.1 miles at the speed of the Wedding March, with occasional sprints thrown in. Ha! It took us an hour and 3 minutes. Later I ran one continuous mile so I could keep my streak up.

So many 11's yesterday. Wow.

6.25 for me yesterday as I showed a friend the upcoming Superbowl 10k course. It's his first time running this race and let's just say I thought he should be familiar with the hills before racing it.

18 miles for me this morning. It was so cold (How cold was it?) It was so cold that I had icicles forming on the tiny little peach fuzz hair on my face. I swear to you, it looked like I had a white beard. Too funny.

Dave, I hope you are enjoying that rest.

jebba, have a great run today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN!!!

jebba--congrats to your newly minted racing partner! Honest, it gets better. Well, that is if you don't mind getting smoked by your kid.

Fishbowl this morning. VERY uninspired 2500. Kinda in a slump here. Choosing stupid easy workouts. Gotta snap out of it and start getting serious.

Dan -- You say it's your birthday? Well happy 39th! ;)

Dave -- Rest well.

jebba -- P.R. for DD? Sounds fun.

Jill -- Wow! And Brrrr.

Mom -- Nice swim.

Me -- Breakfast interrupted this morning when a robin slammed into our dining room window. It just laid there on its back for ten minutes, immobile, struggling to breathe. Thought for sure its neck was broken. DW suggested I bash its head in with a shovel to put it out of its misery. Couldn't do it. I just put on some gloves, crouched down, gently stroked its chest, and told it its okay. Got a shoebox to put it in, and started digging a hole for what I thought was the inevitable expiration of the little guy. Then I put it in the box and took it to the garage, so it could at least die warm. Then, whaddayaknow, it opened its eyes and perked up a little. Now, he's apparently on the mend in the box, next to a heater in the garage.

Glad I didn't listen to DW, the Philistine.

Oh, and eight later.

Chances - you should get a job with Green Peace - save the animal kingdom

Jill - went to the TnT meeting Sat. morning and met Pam..... I signed up after much debate and actually committed to the Rock n Roll San Diego run. We will be doing the practice runs at Lehigh Parkway on Saturday. I can't believe I am doing this.

It was very cold out but refreshing. Sun was bright so the vitamin D boost was good but wind was a bother. 5m around town with the pup.

Hi all,

We got back from our brief 28-hour trip to Philly a little while ago. While there we managed to squeeze in a short almost 3.5 miler past the Art Museum, did the Rocky thing up the steps, and part of Boathouse Row. Just an easy run, nothing special but wow it was cold. 23 degrees which was OK when the wind was still, which wasn't often. At least it was sunny as Apple noted.

Nice running all and congrats on the TNT commitment, Apple. You won't regret it.

Oh well, time to get ready for the work week while I watch Jets-Steelers. New York's making it interesting all of a sudden.
