5 mile TM run this morning. I did a mile WU and then I did a 5K run at level 3. I started at 7.5 mph (8:00 pace) and then increased speed by .2 every 1/4 mile ending at 9.7 mph (6:10 pace).

Happy training everyone

Dave -- Great run, friend.

BBS and fuller -- Rest well.

Mom -- That's a long way. Hope to get there someday . . .

Dan -- Enjoy the somethin'.

Me -- 120 minutes on Madeline (the bike). Too cold to do it outside, so the trainer it is. Thank goodness for Netflix and the miracle of streaming movies. There's a Woody Allen movie I've been wanting to see.

Good morning! I just finished a chilly run with a friend. 12.3 miles total. He wanted 10, and I kind wanted 15. After I dropped him off, I just didn't feel like doing the whole 15. Oh well. Upper body weights and abs this afternoon.

Hello all,

Last day in Portland. Finished off the brewpub tour last night with a visit to DeSchutes downtown. Amazing place. If you ever get there Inversion IPA from the cask is a must.

Not sure what's in store yet today. I definitely want to run but we've got to get ready to leave too so I'm not sure I'll have time. If I don't run today then I will have to do something after we get back to VA tomorrow evening. One off day is OK; two consecutive zeros is simply unacceptable.

Dave - nice TM run, sounds similar to mine last night

4bm - nice swim. I keep it simple and call them "resolvers" but yeah, there were lots at the gym last night.

BBS/Kevin - enjoy the rest

Dan - hope the sumthin was good

Chances - good luck with that ride. I probably have to get me one of those trainers someday.

jebba - nice job on the 12+, looks like you are off to a kick-butt start.

Back from Chicago in time for 12 in the Arb just before sundown. Getting colder, fingers are still kind of numb even w/ 2 pairs of light gloves, I gotta find the heavy ones for tomorrow morning.

Nice job on the runs/rest and have a good one, all.
