5 mile TM run this morning. I did a mile WU and then I did a 5K run at level 3. I started at 7.5 mph (8:00 pace) and then increased speed by .2 every 1/4 mile ending at 9.7 mph (6:10 pace).

8.5 mile group run, then some hill repeats down by the lake. Great run, but I was a bit overdressed, they said windchill at 1 but it felt much better. Might hit the pool in the afternoon for a quickie. Happy Sunday!

Good afternoon, TEAM LIT!

All: Thanks (I think :) ) for the crazy words yesterday. It was a lot of fun, a neat little challenge if you will, running the Boston Marathon course on New Years Day. It was so much fun that, honestly, I'm thinking of turning it into an annual thing -- a tradition, call it!

14miles in upper teens. The first half wasn't fun - against wind and just COLD (I was dressed more like for upper 20's.) Trying to make an appointment with a running coach for a consultation, just to see what changes may help to step up a bit in my marathoning.

And time to get serious about shedding a few lbs x 2. Have been eating lots of garbage. So I have started writing down what I eat.

And... trying to change the profile photo but some reasons I can't.

7 miles in the books. Weird run today...you know the ones where your legs don't quite feel attached to your body but yet you seem to keep going? Yeah, it was one of those.

8 mile cold run for me today, somewhere just under the freezing mark (not cold for some of you, I realize). Solid pace on tired legs.

Led 2:05 endurance spin class, today was a sufferfest. 5x17min repeats (5min medium/hard - z3, 5min 110+ cadence, 5min HARD - z3/z4, 50 cadence with at least 1min standing, 2 min ez - repeat) THEN the hard stuff... hehe... 6x5min repeats of (1min HARD, 50 cadence max; 1min standing; 1 min HARD again, 2min high candence but let HR come down).

I was in L.A. with friends last night for our annual holiday get together and got to do a 6-miler through Beverly Hills this morning. I so enjoy running in new places, and 90210 was very entertaining! Saw a mini Statue of Liberty in someone's yard, and two guys out for a run heading toward Rodeo Drive...one had a camera slung over his shoulder. Tourist run? A good run all in all - felt good, and had fun.

Ouch! A rough run yesterday, only 7 miles but it was the longest I have run in over a month and a half.

Oh, I have a doctor's appointment on Monday afternoon to get my left hip flexor checked out. There is a bump there and I fear it might be a hernia or something else. Oh geez.

I didn't run, but I did put up about 20 sheets of drywall, including carrying it all up a LONG flight of stairs. I think I had a good workout..
