<p>good morning. woke up to no power. tree fell on the line. no sign of it being fixed. had a good long run but i stink i need a shower. we have the generator running but cannot hook it up to the well's pump, so no water and definitely no hot water. i wanted to use my groupon for brunch at a local restaurant but DH says we smell too badly to go oh well. hopefully making it to the other preschool today for their ice cream social this afternoon, weather permitting. we drove by it yesterday and i am just in love!</p>

<p>  Meri -  time to stop somewhere with nice bathrooms and take what we call a "cat bath" - Like camping,  a sink of water and a wash cloth and you can clean up perty good !<br>

<p>   I got up for church mostly because it was the music director's last day there, been cleaning my counters. They are late 70's butcher block - I would love to replace but it is nuclear proof construction and a weird configuration.. some day I get a new counter. I  scrubbed, bleached , filled some worn parts with wood putty - will sand that and stain it then oil the  whole mess.  </p>
<p>    I just sent DS off to a cookout for a friend's birthday- it is up where the school is about  20 miles from here.. first independent longish drive for the boy by himself. He got his license on Monday..   I cam very happy for hime but it is nerve wracking !</p>

<p>   Red Sox are  1-1 vs the Yankees this weekend.. Need a win tonight !  </p>

<p>Our power finally came back on and i showered. Zoe has been REALLY cranky this weekend, so unsure if we will go to the ice cream social at the preschool this afternoon (3-5). I will ask her after her tv show is over, i put a video on her because she was just so cranky. We have no TV, but netflix streaming luckily.</p>
