No shame in running on the mill Chances- at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Hope the 30 minutes go well Dan.

Had a nice longish run yesterday- 16 miles. I was worried my calves were going to be sore today because I decided to do part of it as a trail run where there was a good few inches of fresh snow. Felt like I was running on the beach, but no ill effects today. Will shoot for at least 6 easy on the treadmill this afternoon.

No, I am not racing today. My season ended with that DNS earlier this month. Had quite the enjoyable 3000m in the fishbowl. Had a couple of bunnies to chase which always makes it fun. Checked out the Last Chance for Boston loop and it is clear, so I'll run that tomorrow. Seriously considering doing the half there, which is early next season.

Good morning! A very pleasant 10 miles with a friend. The sun was out, and the conversation was nice. Today marks day 30 of my running streak, although this week was peppered with 1 and 2 mile runs.

Good luck to today's racers!

I braved the 11-12 degrees or so to run a small 5k this morning. Thankfully there was a place to wait around indoors at the start. I wore a long sleeve technical race shirt covered by a fleece top, tights, ear-covering headband and light gloves. I was still pretty cold, but okay other than the gloves - shoud've gone with the heavier ones or covered the light ones with socks - once we turned into the wind my fingers started going numb. I did not look at my watch the whole way since I didn't want to pull up my sleeve. Still managed to pace evenly 7:11, 7:14, 7:12 and total of 22:19. Wasn't expecting much today and reasonably happy with it.

Hawk - hope you enjoya the day off, nice 10 in the snow yesterday

Chances - this cold has been here long enough already!

Dan - have a good thirty

MBH - nice miles!

Jebba - love days like those, way to go on the streak

Nice job, Z! I did a 5k once with DW in 17 degree weather and we both swore we'd never do that again.

Actually I did get out today, with DW for 5 through the neighborhood. Was a good little recovery run for me.

Time to go head over to Facebook so I can gloat to some of my Giant fan friends about my Eagles...

Nice job everyone! Anyone heard from FB? Cool stuff on the frosty 5k zruns - rather you than me out there! Hawk - I watched the Eagles tear the heart out of the Giants. I bet that punter will be crying in his pillow tonight.

Anyway, hit the gym for a 1 hr TM run. Made it a progression after getting bored - 7.73 miles, last 10 mins at t-pace. I had hoped to do some weights but all the machines were tied up by teenagers chatting or big guys lifting the entire stack once every 5 mins. Oh well.

Fingers crossed that our flights are (a) not cancelled and (b) are on time tomorrow as snow is expected about the time we leave. I'm expecting a mess in England with limited train schedules so getting to my home town may be interesting. Hopefully we'll get there OK. Getting back, well that's another story.

How long does it take to get used to this new bb format? It scared me off months ago.

Ten miles for me today, oceanside - and it was a frigid wind. And the entire run is practically all oceanside. I was convinced in mile one that I was crazy for thinking I could run a marathon.
