Good afternoon, TEAM LIT!

What an awesome Christmas this has been for me and my family. Started on Christmas Eve with a quiet dinner with my main squeeze (the Ironmate), continued with what will be a very memorable time at LRR's house (we'll talk about that night for years to come, much like two years before that, which was much like a year or two before that!), then onto a very late-to-get up Christmas (got a nifty headlamp and microspikes and running jacket... I was a good boy this past year), Christmas Day with my older brother and his family (even got to put together two Lego sets, my favorite!), and now a continued celebrate with the Ironmate's family. Fun stuff. Family and friends rock!

First day of my marathon program today. 41:00 with 10:00 warm up, 6x(1:00 at 5:53 pace, 3:00 easy), 10:00 cool down. Came out to 5.23 miles. Felt great to do get some speed work in!

Great workouts everyone!!! For all you east coasters, sounds like you have some nasty weather coming. Stay safe out there!!!

After a super lazy morning, put the little otters in the jogger this afternoon and headed out for about 5.25 (left the Garmin at home - kind of on purpose). Stopped to see some ducks diving for fish at the nearby lake, which, I have to say, was quite entertaining for both the kids and me.

Weekend recap... Had a good long run of 13.1 miles just a shade faster than my MP. Feeling kinda good about that now. On the downside, didn't really eat too healthy the last 5 days here now, so sunday trying to get back into it now. And also did figure out which half marthon to do, just need to sign up for it before the price increases at the end of the year.

3 miles of pain - something is up with my foot, so I'm going to take it easy. not sure about Derry ,but I'll rest until then, but it will hurt on the legs.. I did do an hour on the bike after, so while it's not the same thing, i'll get the cardio going!
