Even with the time difference I can't believe I'm the first posting today. Just back from a nice run around Naas, a 7.3 mile road run along a running path for the most, and a big loop around the town, and back through the centre. Was surprised at the maintaining of an even pace, as I clocked the distance and markers, and I kept a steady 8 minute pace at all the checkpoints.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend,

Wow where's everyone at...finally have computer access. Yesterday morning I got up at like 8 and was out the door at about 8:30 and running around my grandma's neighborhood of Glenview, IL. I ran the first 40 minutes doing loops around a small lake path, maybe a 1.5 mile loop or so but with all sorts of little forks to change the route up each time. Then I set out around the neighborhoods and you wouldn't believe the houses I saw...well maybe you would but for a sheltered lil' central WI boy they were ginormous...I'm guessing the cheapest ones were well over $500k. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 10.5 to 11 miles I'd say.

The wedding I went to was an absolutle blast and I definitely had too much to drink. Good thing they were just kiddy cocktails hah!

Heading back home soon...hopefully I can nap a bit in the car and rest up since this is my rest day afterall.

Have a good rest of the weekend everyone!

It was gross outside this morning here! Ran 20 in 3:08:05 (9:25) with 4 friends which made it much more tolerable. The humidity did drop about 1/2 way into our run, from 90+% down to probably 70%, so it was much better the second half. We made lots of water stops, more than normal, but I was running with some "marathon professionals" as I call them, and they said it's necessary on a day like today, so I'll take their word for it. I was happy to have the breaks!

56.2 miles done this week - my highest mileage ever. Time to pig out!!!

Nice run and weekly mileage Jen.

I got in 8.3 in 1:28:13. Temps was only 78 and the humidity was done. Amazing what a difference it made.

Good week all.
See you Tuesday.

I went something more than 8 miles this morning at 7am. I need to double-check the distance before I report in at the VRAA forum. I don't want to over-estimate. The weather was much nicer this morning, although humid, than yesterday's heat and humidity.

Y'all had some nice runs

Legs tell me I could run longer, but I am very very very slow, and heart rate is up there.

Plan this morning was a 20 mile long run. The last long run before the taper.

I had planned on doing a 20.7 mile course that I have here. That course involves some nasty hills and it was too humid for that, so I did the course above.

It was uncomfortable with the humidity, but I got it done.

A couple of interesting things today. First, I saw a family of 8 wild turkeys. Very cool. Second, for the first time ever while I was running, I got the hiccups today. And these were loud hiccups! People must have thought I had schnapps in my CamelBak!

Run Segments
Let the taper begin.

Less than 3 weeks until the Equinox! Yikes!
