Morning runners

Sunday Restday. My legs are toast.. calves/quads. Got elected to help DW with her Sunday School clalss this morning since her sister is out of town. Really excited about that... 2 yr olds.

Basically done with my summer race schedule. There is a Chick fil-a 5K on Labor day I might do.... I'll be off work, but it starts at 9:00... Kinda late, I did it 2 yrs ago, and remember how hot it was. But after that, I start my Marathon training. Gonna throw 2 5Ks in the midle of that- One is a 5K obstacle course, sounds really fun. You can do 2 man teams, me and JD are gonna do it. The last 50 yards of the race is a mud pit you have to go thru! Then I'm gonna do A 5K in late Oct... maybe try to at least bust out a PR.

No run for me today either. We're traveling for vacation today, heading for Asheville, NC. My running schedule is very much TBD for the week but I'll be looking to take advantage of lots of nearby trails and (hopefully) some cooler weather.

Have a great day everyone.

20 miles for me this morning. We had cooler temps and lower humidty. Real nice morning actually.

My legs just weren't moving so it was slow going plus the added factor of the group, which splintered after 8 or so miles, stops. Sometimes a lot. I tried to pick it up in the last 3-4 miles but I could only get down to m-pace for a couple miles. It just was not happening to the end. Ran in in a new pair (out of the box) DS Trainer 15s. Did seem as smooth as my other pair with 500 miles on them. Hopefully they'll come around.

Dan - hope you got your groove on

Chances - 24? Miles or kilometers?

Loopy - sounds like a nice 15 there. You are well on the way back.

Hawk - enjoy the vacation. Isn't the Biltmore Estate in Asheville?

BBS - have fun at Sunday school... teach the kids about the joy of hunting. Do you use a bow? That'd be good for show and tell (or is that William Tell?) ;)

Yuck on the humidity!! And what a huge difference between yesterday morning and this morning around here. I only got to enjoy a drizzle for about a mile, ended up with 15 miles, that was all I could muster today.

Great job on all those runs!!

Not bad at all on the 20, RA, especially considering how bad you were feeling a couple of days ago. Great, I am out of town for the nice weather, Indy was 70s and humid. I can't complain though, I ran 12.25 on the Monon trail easy averaging 8:25-8:30 for the first 10 and picked it up a little at the end to 7:53 and 7:55 to get it over with. Felt pretty good... I'd say the hamstring is 90% and didn't feel sore afterwords. Thought about trying to find a softer surface (Monon is paved) but too lazy to look. I will xtrain tomorrow, and hopefully can get 45-50 in 5 runs this coming week with 18-20 next Sunday. Then it will be 6 weeks to Chicago .

Nice runs all, and enjoy what's left of the weekend!

Son1 and I raced this morning. Went about as well as I expected. Just not having the season I wanted. Happy with the results though. Will post a full RR when I have more than half a brain cell functioning.

Late night post for me. Typical rest day for me. Watched the 800 meter world record on flotrack just about 2 minutes ago. 1:41.09. Something like 48.?? for first lap. The winner beat the field by 3+seconds. I wish I could run one lap under 60. Have a great night everyone.
