Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Some good workouts yesterday, especially for Mr. RonBo who not only had a good workout but who also seemingly took that next step toward greatness.

Me...

1 mile keep the streak alive run. I say "1 mile" loosely. There's no way I ran a mile. But I set out for a walk to stretch the knee and, as time went by, started "trotting" more and more to cover, maybe, almost a mile. Good enough for me. But if the knee doesn't get better, the streak may come to an end. Almost 7 years worth. Will go to doctor if it doesn't get better. My body is pretty good at healing itself, so if by Wednesday there isn't remarkable improvement I'll know there is something more serious.

Great day, Tri-peeps!

Crap. Thor, hope the knee is just a little bumped and bruised and you make a speedy recovery.

Me...

I'm trying to decide what I want to do. Dance? Run? Lay on the floor in front of an air conditioning vent? Perhaps all three. First though...coffee.

But I agree, first coffee!!

Went out for a short ride this morning. Ran across someone's yellow arrows on the road, so I followed them.

Went through parts of town I'd not been in before. Then, all of a sudden.....the arrows were gone.

So, I went home.

I think they were someone's run arrows, the route was too compact in the center of town to be a good bike route. And, the local "bike bash" routes aren't in that part of town. Huh. Fun little morning.

Rest of the day is rescuing the house from the aftermath of the painting, and the seemingly endless testing of paint that I did last week. Then, grocery store!

Maybe some shopping, too...it's a tax-free weekend here, so I might find some good stuff.

12 mile run this morning. Thank goodness I took the route I did. 8 miles in, with nothing in sight but corn and bean fields when I needed an emergency bathroom break. Suddenly I came upon a port-o-john out in the field for the workers. After a quick stop, I finished the run much more comfortably than I would have otherwise.

May run a few miles later today with DW.

Sending healing vibes to Thor's knee.

Thor - keeping my fingers crossed this is another minor ache, nothing serious to put to an end to the streak.

Sylvania Olympic tri race. Haven't done an oly for 3 yrs. as a matter of fact, this race in 2007 was the last one I think. A minute and half or so off the PR but pretty happy all considered. RR later. DH finished 3rd in his MTB race today and maintained 1st in the overall standing. Two more races to go for him. Way To Go!

Thor, I'll think positive thoughts for your knee.

Stitch, that's fun to do, follow a marked ride. Sorry it didn't lead you further. Did an Eli hand off after Matt's long run with the Sunday crew (I dropped out since it's impossible to schedule my workouts around feedings) and I raced out for a 15-mile ride. A little hillier than earlier in the week and kept up 16 mph pace. Very happy with that.

11.2 mile run for me today. Longest run since February 2009 (since "the injury") and longest run ever in temps in the mid-eighties. 2:16-ish, but kept my HR right where it's supposed to be and I felt strong throughout so, woo hoo!

Still riding the "post IM wave" or doing minimal training, BUT, Over the weekend, we took down 3 rooms of walls ceilings, lath and plaster. We also loaded the dumpster as we had a LOT of stuff. I got some serious weight workouts in and while I'm happy to be conditioned, I miss the training. That should be MOST of the heavy lifting, other than drywall, so I hope to be able to get back to the bike and running soon.

Long weekend, it's sad when you miss the 7hr ride.
