Morning Peeps

Never got a chance to check in yesterday, but had an awesome 10 mile trail run. Heard about a continuation of the trail I usually run, found it yesterday. Not sure how many miles it goes on for, but I'll find out soon enough. Yesterday was one of those days that everything just felt great. Finished the 10th mile @ 7:42 pace just for fun.

Rest day today, other than try and clean up what looks like a tornado of baby stuff from DWs shower yesterday.

Nice job on the racing yesterday zrun, RA, and Jebba!

BBS - it's great when yoiu have one of those runs, huh?

Jebba and zrun: Nice job yesterday.

The official results from my 10 miler are:

Duration: 1:06:14

Pace: 6:38 / mile

Field Placement: 51 / 1262 (4%)

Age group: 40 – 44

Group Placement: 5 / 87 (5.7%)

Gender Placement: 42 / 574 (7.3%)

Seems like some of the usual suspects were not there - probably in Boston. Anyway, that gives me more points on the circuit, not that I'll get close to finishing in the top 10 for the year.

Anyway, this morning I unwisely chose to do my long run on tired legs. Schedule said 16, I thought maybe 13-15. Ended up doing 18. D'oh! Nice morning except for the 20+ mph headwind. I thought I was going backwards in some spots. Last few miles were not very nice. Oh well, it's done and now it's taper time.

RA- you, my friend, are a machine! WTF is up w/ this wind crap? Thats the main reason I hit the trails yesterday, to stay outta the 20-30 mph wind

Well, I putted around on my freebie mtn bike I won at work a couple years back... that crap sucks. It'd probably help if I could get the p.o.s to shift gears better. Maybe .75 of screwing around. Still interested in purchasing a TREK... may have to be post baby tho.

Hey Guys, A drop in fly by! Hope everyone's doing well. Who's doing Boston? I think I may be slowly coming back. On top of everything I had significant food allergies to milk eggs etc. Feeling close to being "there". Hope to be starting some kind of program in the near future. D

Bit breezy here this morning. At 7am it was "only" 15mph out of the WSW. Needing 70 today, I decided to skip church this morning to avoid the 25+mph winds this afternoon. Nothing ever really felt good today. Still battling a nasty chest cold. Riding solo didn't help. I rode my old TOSRV training route which should have kept the wind mostly at a cross. As I neared 20mi, I knew 70 wasn't happening today. At 25, I stopped to stretch. In this little town, the only place was a church parking lot. As church people started arriving they looked at me as a problem to get rid of. Meanwhile, two neighbors came over to see if I was okay. Inbound wasn't much better. Much of the time, I was doing good to keep the speed in double digits. I finished with 55mi exactly. At least I did better than son1--he was hoping for 100 and only got 30.

BBS--sounds like a great run!

Asics--nicely done!

DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good to see you back! Give me a buzz if you need help with the food allergies. BTDT.

Hi everybody. I've been wiped out with a cold. Did one miserable mile today. Lucky kids are getting plenty of screen time while I lie on the couch and moan.

Soccer this morning. Certainly got to runs lots, thanks to the fact we only had 8 players. Other than that we lost big and I played like horse crap so I'd rather just forget about it.

Maybe I'll for a couple easy miles this afternoon.

Dan - great to hear from you

RA - those are pretty good results. Well, I'd take them at least because they would mean a :11 PR.

4BM - I think I'll pass on a ride today, that wind is too much.

jebba - hop you can kick that thing soon.

No wind here today. Just the forecast of lots of rain tonight and tomorrow, which means river/stream flooding.

No running for me today. Just church and some R&R. Looking to get out early tomorrow, so I can watch Boston online. I hope The americans do well tomorrow on the mens and womens races.

DAN- nice to see you back. I hope they have finally found all the problems. It seems you are doing better.
