15-miler this morning. Felt sluggish. Ran 21 yesterday and was trying to hold today's run within long-run pace. Just couldn't do it. Next weekend it's back to race'en!

90 minutes of extreme hills. The new regional pathway that crosses the hill and then runs along the perimeter. 9.25 miles.

20 mile run today. I took my time the whole run, finished in 3:11:55. I feel good about that considering I have been dealing with injury over the last several weeks. BTW, the achilles gave me no trouble during my run today. Thank goodness! I just might survive Chicago in a few weeks!

Ahhh, mild temps. Partly sunny 50F at 10am.

23 solo miles in the Rocky River reservation, with as many hills I could find. First and last 4 miles relative flat. Within the middle 15 miles, in the park, lied the 7 big and 4 smaller climbs. Concentrated on flowing on the downhills. Carried a bottle and able to manage hydration just fine. Gels at 85, 125 and a half-gel at 165 minutes. (2.5 gels total.)

Goal was to maintain a continuous run from start to finish. No fast finish, nor race-pace miles. All easy pace.

Without stopping the watch for the 2 pee stops and 3 bottle refills from the water fountain, finished in 3:05:4x (8:05 pace.) It wouldn't suck if this is what I run in the marathon.

Three weeks to go. Good runs, all.

Trails today, about 2 hours 45 minutes. This was a good follow-up to the 3+ hour hike yesterday, since I got to run on tired legs.

I actually felt a bit chilly for most of the run, an unusual and pleasant sensation after a long hot summer.

Tapering from here on out, I suppose.

6 miles. I started very easy as I'd been to a birthday party in the afternoon and eaten differently & more than a usual lunch, so was afraid my stomach would revolt. It didn't so I picked it up on the way back.

It was a chilly feeling 64 degrees with a breeze and low humidity. I almost wore tights!
