Let's get it started!

Currently in the traffic queue trying to get off I-76 so we can park at the stadiums, then take the Broad Street Line up to the start. Weather should be great - 50s and no wind at the start.

Back later with results. Have a great day all.

Hawk- I will stand outside and see if I can hear the sonic boom you'll be leaving behind

Rest day for me today. Was gonna take the bike for a spin, but we're currently having thunderstorms, again.. River levels are getting very sketchy around here...

BTW- How about those Grizzlies? Furthermore, how about those Predators? I'm kinda an in-state sports fan.

Not feeling too bad this morning. Legs feel pretty good actually! Neck and shoulders are the worst, due to riding in aero most of the day. Meh... it'll loosen up eventually. Plan on something easy today, perhaps taking the hound for a stroll.

Hawk--hope you had a good race and didn't miss any turns!

Asics--rest up

BBS--perhaps you need to pick up swimming?

Hawk - Was that a little Black Eyed Peas to start the thread? HOpe you had fun.

RA - Certainly not a bad choice!

BBS - Enjoy the rest. Grizzlies, predators. All sounds pretty agressive.

Kevin - Enjoy your Sunday

4boys - Strolling hounds sounds fun

30 minute walk for me on a beautiful sunny day. Forecast says only on this week so guess I'd better get outside.

Braod Street Run all done. Wow that's a big race, even more people in it than Army Ten Miler.

I did the best I could today but no PR. Morning GI distress got me off on the wrong foot so to speak. Not surprisingly I felt dehydrated at the start and a little warm even though it was still on the cool side. I was in the 3rd corral and close to the front but it was very crowded and the first mile went down in 7:20 or so. Must have picked it after that as I hit 3 in 20:08. Grabbed a water bottle from someone at 2.5 and never stopped at an aid station after that. Still I was struggling by 6, trying drink down that water as best I could. Fought off some queasiness there and soldiered on through a couple difficult miles. Worst was 8 in 6:59. Why is 8 always my hardest mile in a 10? Battled back in 9, ditched the water bottle and dug deep to go 6:33 in the last mile, maybe my fastest of the day. 67:31 at the finish.

Given what I had to deal with in the early morning I knew it wasn't going to be a PR day. But I battled my way to my fastest 10 of the year so far and I'll take that. Maybe not sonic boom but a good result. ;)

Hi everyone! Storms here, too. Took advantage of a break in the rain, and went for a super humid 10 mile run.

Well done, Hawk. I hate races that have ridiculous numbers of people in them, but some of them you just have to do at least once.

I took a rest day, too... from running, anyway. Was out in the yard for a couple hours. I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow, but hopefully I'll be tough enough to get something in.

It looks like this week we will finally have spring weather. After the stupid amount of snow yesterday it is getting warmer. Enjoy the evening everyone.
