Freaking mud!!!

I'm a happy camper though. 10 miles on trails. I decided to run on Nose Hill, and since I've been pushing the envelope a little this week (what do I have to lose, really?) I thought to do a hilly workout. Not insane, but hard.

Discomfort level never went above 3, and really it backed off in the latter bits.

Tough hills in the first mile, between 6 and 6.5 miles (100 feet descent and gain, only to descend into the muck), and in the last mile or so. The rest was rolling terrain. The view of the snow-covered Rockies was worth the price of admission.

I felt I could have run another 10. That's what Pfitz's plan called for today, but though I may be crazy I'm not stupid. Ended it while I felt decent and I now go into the regular taper starting Tuesday.

That's weird, taper's supposed to be backing off, but this will be a ramp up compared to the last few weeks.

I now know that I will get to the starting line in Vancouver. We'll see what the next three weeks tell me.

10.11 miles in 1:35 even. Yay!
