This could be a tough week looking at the weather forecast. I got all dress to get a run in before church when it was supposed to be warmer. However, my drive and the street were coated with black ice, so I waited until later to do 5 1/4 miles. I thought about going a little further but the wind with the approaching front started to be get brutal.

It's actually a 34.1 mile (55k) course, so I'm shooting to break 6:30. I ran 7:12 there last year but was a bit injured. There is about 4500' of climbing thru the desert (it's in Utah). Should be fun... I hope it's warm!

This was last year:

Utah is Gorgeous! I want to take my boyfriend to Zion. I haven't been there since I was 19 but my memories of the scenery are vivid.
Chris, hope your run there is spectacular!
It was really really windy here today and made my 8 miles somewhat challenging. But it was a good run and I'm looking forward to increasing to 9 miles next weekend. I finally felt as though my body was completely recovered from being sick during yesterdays 4 miler. Finally no breathing problems, not muscle soreness and no fatigue. Just back to normal fun runs. Thank goodness because I was starting to think "this just isn't fun anymore". But things are back to normal and I'm loving it again!
