morning all - it's a chilly morning in So Cal, perfect for running<br><br>
I'm recovering nicely - 10 easy miles in 1:30:46 (9:04/mile) - bumped into a friend from the 'hood and ran 5+ miles with her<br><br>
my quest for 2,000 is right on track - I'm now at 1,928

Ran a wicked fun XC race on a golf course today. It was 3.2 miles with about 1.2 on pavement, but very challenging. A lot of steep ups & downs. The golf course was snow-covered so I was happy I was wearing my INOV-8 trail shoes. Ran it in 26:14 or so ... not real speedy, but I loved this race, what a hoot! I need to run more races like this in the future. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

So did you! I thought for sure you'd get me at the end.<br><br>
That was 4 races in 28 days (10 miler 11/11, 5k 11/22, 5k 12/2 and today's 3.2). It's going to be strange not racing again until January 20!! Phew, no wonder why I'm tired...

Iced-in today, no run. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad"> It's supposed to do this until Wednesday. Hope the power stays on. Trees are getting heavy. Anyone tried running in YakTrax?

Crappy run today, and it's all my fault. Too much wine last night, crappy lunch, bad motivation...I ended up walking a good chunk of my 8 miler. It's only 5pm, and I wish I could go to bed and start a new day tomorrow.

I started my day with 30 minutes of walking on the beach and around some neighborhoods of Kiawah Island this morning. I am much less stiff and sore than after any other marathon, but my poor toes are really unhappy.

SGH "but my poor toes are really unhappy. "<br><br>
LOL - I lose at least one big toe nail every marathon or longer race - Usually almost grows back and not looking ugly and then I do it again <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile"><br><br>
Heal up!

Rainy/icy all day and I kept delaying my run until it was late afternoon. The weather never improved, so I ran down to the YMCA (2mi), ran 53 minutes on the TM (6.5mi), and ran home. 10.5 miles total in 87 minutes.<br><br>
Watched the rainy Browns-Jets game while on the TM. The last two minutes of the game took 18 real-time minutes, with all the rain, on-sides kicks, and scoring. Fun way to watch the game - this reminds me that it's time to set up the bike trainer at the house.
