Good morning all,

I have some early errands so I didn't run yet but will get out there late this afternoon.
I volunteered to paint the Kitchen/Breakfast room BEFORE Christmas and spent all day yesterday prepping & priming the walls, today is the fun part.....
It will all be worth it though.

Good runs to all today.

Morning Peter and those to follow. Taking a rest day today. Beautiful day here. 38 degrees with chill of 33. Suppose to get about 60 and skies are gorgeous. Enjoy your day.

That sounds pretty ambitious Pete. Good Luck!
No run here today either. It's rainy and cold. I would rather have snow than rain. I will probably opt for an elliptical workout.

cheers and good runs all,
Ok, I'll start..but still, nice X-Training Peter

I was really pondering how I was going to get a good 15 miler in and still be able to get a nice run for Tory, but not 15. Then, bing! I got it!. Since the route starts at a low elevation and the turnaround is about 350 feet higher, it would be great training to drive to the turnaround with Tory, run down to the hose, put Tory inside and run back up to the car. It worked great and I even negative split the uphill half!
Total 15 miles in 2:06:03 (8:24 pace, AHR 158 ) I also wore the insoles that came with my Asics 2120 instead of the hard SuperFeet insoles ans my foot never felt better after a long run.. go figure

Have great runs!
I didn't plan to run today, but I saw sunshine and 40+ temperatures outside and decided I couldn't pass it up. It had rained heavily in the early AM, wiping out almost all of the snow. But then there was still that steady 25-mph wind from the west...

The rail-trail that I wanted to run on took me right into the wind. The trail was not fully melted, and when I hit a long icy patch I found myself doing a Marcel Marceau impression, so I had to turn around and finished the rest of a 4.2-mile run on local subdivision streets, ducking the wind as much as I could.

It's already clouded over and dropping into the 30s, so good timing on my part. Here's hoping for some good running for the rest of you today!

P.S. A little Michigan revenge last night -- li'l old Oakland University (where I run most mornings) beat Oregon in roundball last night. It's their first victory over a ranked team in school history!

Nice 15 miler, perch.

Way to get out there, tomwhite. I thought you sponsored athletes had people to do stuff for you, so you could focus on training and lazing about.

I'm glad you stayed upright, roch.

A luxurious rest day for me.

Have a good Sunday.

Spinning my wheels here this morning. Grrrr.

First ...

Peter, hope that AT problem has abated.
perch, heckuva run and good foot news.
Roch, good move on getting out in the goot weather.
gin, what's up with that calf? I'm in the same boot -- er, boat, so maybe I can help?
Sal, sounds good. Tummy upset may just be the bod adjusting to the longer distance. Keep experimenting.

Went to the gym earlier to row myself silly, but it's not open (hence the grrrr). I'm out to walk with Doug's race-walker wife in the freezing rain. Will try the gym again before work this afternoon.

NOTE: I may not get the Weekly done tonight. Gifts of figgy pudding will not speed up the process.

Really nice run by all you Sunday runners...........uh, that would be Perch and roch alone.

grrr,,,,meh......arrrr.....blah.........I can sure tell the holiday cheer is spreading

Trail group postponed the run this morning.....who knew a grew of trailsters would be bothered by a little rain and 30 mph winds? I don't get it. At least they rescheduled for tomorrow morning. So, I'll brave the winds and dropping temps this afternoon for my usual 4.5 miles on the greenway trail.

Got up barely in time to make it to yoga class this morning. Been busy on Sundays lately (or hung over, heh) so I hadn't been there in a couple weeks. Figures the teacher (who is a friend as well) picks me to demonstrate a variation of headstand for the class. Guess she wasn't aware of my chronically sprained shoulder....

Sans Souci, I had to laugh that you finally figured out my secret (sekrit?) name... OM indeed!

Happy soggy Sunday everyone!

Peter, you're my hero today for volunteering to paint.
deja vu...high wind advisory and horizontal rain, just like last Sunday.
Canned my plans to go to the trail for fear of being hit by falling branches.
10 [email protected]:17. Pace felt comfortable, a tad under my old MP. Winds 20-30, gusts to 45, 55F at start and 46F at finish. Wind tried to rip out my contacts and I have a pinkie toe blister now, but other than that it was good. Especially when the wind was at my back.
