Wow...did anyone else go to Active and get immediately sickened? I am definitely not going back. The layout sucks and there is no log. LAME! Please finish up the log here Beta Testers...it looks like I'll be bi-postal no more.

Oh ya, back to what I made this for - off to work on my rest day. See ya later.

I've been using a log here since August, when CR first announced the switch to Active: http://runningahead.com/index.aspx. Now that I've gotten used to it, I really like it.

Snowy & sleeting here today. If I do anything it'll be biking on the trainer.

Personally it is too early to judge for me - My instant reaction to "Different" is I do not like it. But to be truthful - As good or as crappy as it will be - the people are what will keep me coming back or not.

Thanks for the recommendation Jen! It looks like the developer can import CR logs into RunningAHEAD so I might be able to get all my info in one place again.

The snow is piling up outside so no run outside for me and I'm not driving to the gym either (the 1/8 mile indoor track is pretty nice, but the roads are a mess - I haven't seen a plow in the neighborhood yet). I'm planning for a run on the treadmill during whichever late afternoon football game I can find on TV in HD. Days like this make me glad we have a big projector in the basement.

I'm taking a rest day as my left knee is a little sore from running on the snow yesterday. May do some weights/core work though but I'm not sure I want to clean the snow off my car and go to the gym...

Heavy snow, sleet, rain, ice and wind today. So I hopped on the dreadmill for 8 miles. Alternated between watching Sportscenter and the 3 Stooges.

This lingering cold has really exacerbated my asthma, so it was harder and slower than it should have been.

Hey everyone, finally made the move over here. I figured I would be disappointed with CR, but man it sucks, I cannot even get logged in, it keeps giving me some error. Oh well, I log my stuff offline anyway I will just come over here and post.

Yesterday I ran 2.3 miles @9:50 pace...the longest I have run since my ITBS started about 3 weeks ago. Today I am swimming and doing the bike...I will check in later. I am glad this place is here for us to keep in touch. I look forward to getting to know the natives.

Seacrest out!

Ran my thirteen miles this morning... (first time ever) it was 11 and snowing when I started and 17 with wind still snowing when I finsihed.

The trails were pretty Icy and slippery so I headed out to the streets that werent much better. Funny thing though I run so slow it didnt make me slow down that much. my total time to finish was 2:26 . I was a little tired but by no means out of breath, legs were sore.. but I expected that... will take care of that with a walk this evening and tommorow as well.

enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

I posted over in CR, but it looks like everyone is still over here???

I sat on the bike and went nowhere for an hour. Decent ride. HRM wasn't working, though...

Then, off for a quick run. Roads are in bad condition. Slush had refrozen and 'clear' areas were icy. Certainly slowed me down! 2m in 17:45. Whatever. It was good to get out there.

Tomorrow is a rest day, which is good. I will be heading to the doctor. Chest congestion is much worse today. What's the rule about running with a chest cold???

Alex--I agree with the simple log. Nothing simple about Active. When I log in it takes me to active and I have no idea how to find the cool running boards. So I go back to cool running and access them from that home page. No log I use one on flocast under flotrack. They have lots of videos of running events etc... as this is their main goal to showcase running. The running log is pretty good. A nice place to browse if you have not yet. I posted over on cool Active running board and as I said there I am not running today. 5 miles tomorrow though. Any suggesstions about how to navigate cool active formerly cool running would be great. I might pull an Alex though. Have a great day everyone.

I haven't been back to CR yet...guess I better go take a look and assess the damage for myself. It would be a shame if Active wrecked it. But then again, nobody at Active ever talked to us, now did they?

Not much planned for me today. Currently I'm on the couch watching the NCAA mens soccer championship match (Ohio St. vs. Wake Forest). Buckeyes up 1-0 right now. It would have been more interesting around these parts if Virginia Tech had beaten Wake to get to this game. But oh well. As for a workout, I've got indoor soccer with my men's team this evening.

Then tomorrow starts Week 2 of my very short "off season." Until the new year I don't have any formal training program underway. I've entered some workouts into my planner for this week but they are subject to changing based on whetever my whim is that particular day. For example, I've got Tuesday down for a 6 mile recovery run, but I may just change it to swimming.

Alex - yes I know the Bud Light commercial is about the opera. I was just trying to work a beer reference in.

4bm - watch out for that ice.

Phill - yeah, most of us are over here now. I suspect the few holdouts will soon follow.

Nice runs by everyone dealing with the cold. Some of that's headed our way but not until around Christmas Day. When it comes I'm sure I'll be treadmilling like Arrojo.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Hello! I see many snowy weather runners here today. Two more days and I'll join you.

Meanwhile, I went out for an easy 7 this afternoon. It was about 50 degrees, sunny, and windy, but almost all tailwind. I was a little on my slow end but felt good as ever.

RichardC, good job on your distance PR in slippery conditions today!

Now I'm off to check out various running logs.

Hi everyone. I'm going to write more later, but I just wanted to post my run
for the day--

16.42 miles, 2:10, 7:54 pace

Like I said, more later...

Hey ya'll,

3 miles today. My legs felt really tired and heavy today. Its 30* outside and snowing but the wind is blowing 20-40mph which made it really cold and hard to breathe. The wind didn't let up once, blowing steadily the whole time with big gusts.

Coolrunners is done merging, and my new member name is Megs028. I went over there and had a look around, not really a big fan.

Have a nice night ya'll!

I tried. I really did try to find my way around. CR/Active just ain't the same. The most active post over there right now is complaining aobut how bad the "new and improved" Active site is.

I can log in and it takes me to active and then I go back to coolrunning and access the boards there. That seems to work best for me on the new "cool active" site. Nice running everyone. I wonder if Kickrunners put up a running log soon if they would get a bunch of people to permenantly move from cool running?

If they make it as simple and as wonderful as CR's log, I would
permanently make the move.

My whole life was in that log. Fortunately I downloaded it the night
before it went kaput--Active saved NONE of my elliptical workouts.
