Awaiting official results ... but ....

26.2 at the Baystate Marathon today in @3:57-something.

A new PR and the sub-4 I was looking for!

I'll have a full race report in the next few days - but the highlights include running @ 3 miles with the great srlopez!!! It was really awesome to meet him AND run with him. He kicked by behind right at the end - SPRINTING by me at mile 26. I don't know how he does it - he just ran the Hartford Marathon yesterday!

And jealous of that sub-4. You trained hard and it paid off. You rock.

Sparky -

You totally rock! I am SO happy for you. After all you went through with the Pfitz/Douglass 18/55 plan, you went out there and you KICKED SOME A$$.

Great job Jen! And it was great seeing you and Mr. Sparky after the race!

As for me:

I'll post a full report later. I also ran the Bay State Marathon today. By my watch I have 3:35:53.5, but I seem to remember the finish clock saying 3:37 and some change.

Either one will be a PR for me.

A PR!! That earns a dancing banana. . I know you were wondering what would happen after training for the Alaska race as the goal race, but looks like everything worked out great after all! Sweet.

My half marathon run report today is in it's own AW thread, but yours and Jen's deserves to be longer.

Great marathon and all-around running weather today. Congrats on the PRs.

Me- Sunny, clear 42F at 8am. 7 miles easy in about 54 minutes. Was running a bit late, but its amazing how the pace quickens in cool temps. Took a pilates/strength class afterwards.
