G'morning people. I was able to get up early, but not quite early enough to get everything in. Out of a scheduled 7 I was able to get 5.6 in before the wee one woke up. I'll take it.

I've got to decide today if I'm going to shoot for the New Bedford Half. If I choose it I've got ten weeks to prepare. It's what I was training for last year when I broke my foot three weeks out.

Take care out there.

Ellen- Nice run, sorry you didn't get to finish it up.
Richard- Have a good run!

Rest day here for me today. I'll be resting from running but dad is going to need my help putting up drywall on the ceiling in the spare room he's been working on, so I am going to get some kind of workout today.

Billy- Sorry to hear you might have some ITBS going on as well, hope the rest days help and you feel better!!

Ellen, Nice job on the run-cut-short. I'd say go for the half, too.
Richard, Hope your run goes well.
Megs, Enjoy your rest day; even though hanging drywall on the ceiling doesn't sound like fun.

I ran 8.8 miles this morning in a comfortable 44F temp. Five of the middle miles were a MAF test (10:42/11:02/11:01/11:02/11:01). Total run time was 1:40:55. Looking back at my log, this was my longest run in almost two months.

Morning to you guys (it's afternoon here!) -

We went out today, over to the Phoenix Park, the BIG park here in Dublin and I ran a 5 mile run on the cycle path, up and down Chesterfield Avenue, the main road thru the park. It's exactly 2.5 miles each way. Slightly uphill on the way out, and therefore slightly downhill on the way back, and an even split of 20:40 each way for a 41:20 was a reasonable run.

Happy Sunday to everyone, and Go Chargers tonight

good runs all. nail that 11-12 rich team R!!. me it's been a disapointing and depressing last few days not being able to run, watching blood and other nasty stuff leave my infection. I'm crossing my fingers for an easy run tonight, but the infection is almost gone and I'm just nervous about it because I had an infected blister before which sent me to the hospital with a blood line so i'd like to avoid that. If all goes as planned I'll be back in the game tomorrow popping the mileage back up to 110 a week to help team R run away from the comp.

Hi Ellen - great to see you in here!
Richard C - nothing like a 12 miler in shorts!
wanderingoutlaw - awesome long run
Liam - sounds like a nice run.

I did 10 very hilly miles with about a dozen folks from my running club this morning. We even have a name for it - the Terrible Ten - with good reason. But it;'s all country back roads with farms and woods and horses and stuff (and lots of hills!) We split into about 3 groups, of course I was in the slowest group. Someone put out water for us, and we'd meet up with folks at the water stop. We all hung out yakking and laughing at the end. Good times. Have a great day all!

10.1 miles on a not as hilly route as Arrojo, but with another member of our running club who needed to be done in time to get to church. She and I had a good, solid run, no stops, and gabbing the entire way. Seemed almost effortless (although she said she was having issues, she didn't seem it)! I love runs like that.

Ellen - do the half! I'll be doing that one too!
Richard - I saw some runners out in shorts, but it was only 34 degrees. You're all crazy!
Megs - drywall. Ugg. I don't envy you or hubby. Been there/done that. Blech.
Outlaw - congrats on the long run!
xcrunner - it must be really frustrating, but you're smart to wait it out!
Liam & Arrojo - nice jobs!
kfuller - enjoy the rest.

Hi, everyone. Finally found my way over here from the now-defunct coolrunners. Good to see all the old gang members, and some some new (to me) faces, too!

Ellen--Go for the half!

10 easy miles yesterday. Probably five or six yesterday. Wife's out of town, and I'm entertaining both boys for much of the day.

Tonya -- Tool was simply fantastic!

I got my long run in, even after staying up past midnight watching the Jaguars win last night.

16.39 miles in 2:24:02 for an 8:47 pace. That includes 4 stops for water that totalled about 5 minutes of resting. Not bad.

It's in the 50s, albeit rather windy, so I'm breaking out the shorts and heading out. My very loose training schedule calls for a 14 mile long run this week. Playing it by ear today as I'm a bit sore - too many lunges.

Hey Everyone.

4 miles this morning. Probably 2 more than I should have done as the back was acting up. I needed the run though. P*&^ing me off.

Ellen- do the half!

Rob - Nice to see you made it over.

Hi All, an easy, chatty 10 miler today with a friend at 7:45 pace to finish out a new big week of almost 70 miles.

I am definitely looking forward to a super slow recovery 5 miler tomorrow morning.

Happy Running!

Go for it Ellen!

Glad you made it over Rob...I'm just pissed that I didn't get to see Tool with you.
I'm glad to hear it was good--like I expected less?

Dan - Nice going on the run. Way to fight through it!

Hawk - My run today is for you...hope you are feeling a bit better.

Wow...so many people, so little time...

Okay so today my schedule calls for 18. I'll be heading out for that in just a few. I know, I know, it's after noon by now. So what. I'm not a morning person. Yeah it'll take me over 2 hours, and yeah, by that time it will be at least 3:something, but I don't care. I just know I'm going to get it done at some point today.

Everyone have a great afternoon!

P.S. Just a side note for those of you who know about my everlasting hatred for Team Nebraska, I found where they log their runs...dunh, dunh, dunh.

Ellen--GO FOR IT!!!

Tonya--I thought Andy suggested you talk with Team Nebraska... So what are you going to do now? "accidentally" time your runs so you're out there at the same time so you can whoop their butts???

Too many great runs to call out.

My day started in the fish bowl. After dealing with the creepy guy my last two swims, I timed my swim so that I'd be there with the aerobics class. Decent swim although not much in the tank this morning. But, it was a good, non-paniced swim, which I needed.

Home long enough to pick up the bike and I was off for a bike ride. Decided to do my north route and ride on real roads, rather than the bike path. Very, very enjoyable ride, althoguh I went out with a tailwind and had to eat the wind inbound. 22m in 1:28.

Back home. Brought bike inside, changed shoes, shed jackets and off for a run. Ug... legs were DEAD. Oh well, last workout of the day, might as well make the best of it. I was shocked at my data. 2.03m, 16:30, 8:08pace. How the heck did I do that?!

Aw, I'm touched. Actually your good karma must have rubbed off on me, because I'm about 90% healthy now, good enough to do a 3-mile recovery run on the treadmill this morning. I've got indoor soccer tonight too; part of the reason I did the little run on mill was to see if I would be able to play tonight. So I passed the test and now today is a double.

Sounds like some great runs are underway.

Chances - glad you finally made it here.

Ellen - do the half. It's plenty of time to train and you've got unfinished business with it from last year. Go for it.

Liam - do you go a pub or something to catch your Chargers on TV? Messrs. Maguire still there? Good run through Phoenix Park.

Floridaboiler - good job on the long run, and that was a great game last night.

Megs - enjoy the "off" day with the draywall.
