If you take out the 4 minutes in breaks I took for eating gel and one pit stop then my pace drops down to about an 8:33 Today was a tough run. The playground where I usually stop for water had the water shut off!.

A midnight training run??? Talk about dedicated? 22.5 miles? Good heavens! Sounds like a marathon in the near future!

A light snowfall last night, but temps are supposed to remain at or above zero for the next few days so we might actually start to see some buildings by mid week! I have never seen so much snowfall in a winter in my entire life!

Running for me today....the adductor was feeling not too bad this morning so I thought my 15 miler might be back on again. However after about 40 min I felt uncomfortable in the right leg so I stopped at 60 min....5.55 miles. I ran 10 min at 5.3 mph, and increased by 0.1 mph up to 5.8 for the last 10 min. HR remained at or below 75%.

Last fall we ordered a bunch of new equipment for our gym. The new fly machine and adductor machine arrived yesterday, so I gave them a try after the run. My adductor feels really good now, so the exercise appears to be all it needs to get better. I will continue to use it and maybe I can go more than an hour by next weekend.

Heading to town today. Will be there overnight, so no run tomorrow morning. Maybe in the evening.

I broke the contract with my body again today and did a 4th day in a row. I normally take the day after a long run (usually the 3rd day in a row) off from running, but my body actually seems to feel better if I run a few easy miles the day after a long run.

I did the run today because tomorrow is supposed to be very cold, and Tuesday is supposed to be warmer. I would rather take the really cold day off.

I felt pretty good. My right glut is still a bit sore for some reason.

Run Segments
No, I manage a mine in the remote coastal mountains of BC. We have a camp and our recreational facilities include a fully equipped gym.

Longest run in almost 6 years. 20.3 miles. Into the teeth of a Chinook, gusts over 30 mph. Black ice for 2/3 of the going until the wind sublimated it all. Bird pooped on my head.

But I'm intact and none the worse for the wear. 3:18:30, slower than Florida! That doesn't count a pit stop at 8 miles but does count a 2.5 minute stop at the 18 mile point to replenish water and shed my belt.

Not happy with the time, but hey...

Today is not the time you want to be happy with Grizzly. It's your marathon that you want to be happy with! Great job out there today. Now have fun dancing tonight.

Sounds like an wild ride to me! Isnt a bird pooping on your head supposed to be good luck

Just got done doing 50 min on the mill. Still taking some short walk breaks, but I can tell I am making progress again. Could feel the achilles a bit after about 20 min, but then it went away. Another ART appt on Friday so I will see what he says about how it all feels.

But overall I feel good! And actually a bit motivated by the thought of doing that Tahoe 10k.

It was so nice in Smithers that I went for another run. Did 3.5 verrry easy miles outdoors in warm sunny, but windy conditions. I may try for another one tomorrow morning, but have to do it early as the boss want's to leave by 6 AM.

After some serious lack of motivation this morning, I got out at noon for a very fast 9 miles. I was feeling guilty about not doing the 12 I was supposed to do today so I ran my 9 mile loop in a course record 1:08.36. aye carumba, now it is taper week.

It took Grizzly's report being quoted twice before I realized I missed the bird poop part.

Did another 5 miles today even though my quads and glutes were killing me after yesterday's run which was my first in weeks.

Today it was on the tread while watching the Daytona 500...wow was it ever boring for about 2 hours and then really exciting for about 20 minutes. Why do they bother with the first 450 miles if you can win from anywhere, even a lap down.

It was an unusually boring Daytona 500.
