Good Morning All-just 4.25 miles for me this morning. It is supposed to be a beautiful day here in central New York-looking forward to spending the day on the shore of Lake Ontario.
Have a great day!
Taking today off but got in a really nice 9.3 @ 8:30 pace yesterday morning. Spent much of yesterday on a ladder fixing a window leak and some downspouts my dog decided to pull down and turn into a chew toy. Cleaned out some of the gutters while I was up there. Today and tomorrow I will be appropriately celebrating Labor Day weekend at the office.

Happy runs all.
I ran 30 minutes at the gym on the treadmill at a fairly slow pace (5.8 mph), which is about 10.3 minutes per mile. It was hard but not terrible. I felt good afterwards. I've just started the 1 hour running program by Switzer.

Susan, keep it up. I like the way "hard" and "felt good" are juxtaposed in your posting.

The goal today was 17 with [email protected] I came pretty close. The 14 was interrupted by what my mind kept saying was an "unrelenting hill" -- this one always gets in the way of these long MP runs. But somehow I recovered somewhat and finished reasonably close to my goal.

Stats: 17.3, 2:20, 8:07/mi, including 14.3 @ 8:02 (MP+10)

Here are my splits vs. elevation for the run.

After taking a long time to get out of bed this morning, I ran 18.4 miles out in the woods in appx. 3:15 (I'm not counting the 2 or 3 minutes I spent talking with a neighbor I occasionally see out there), with the last 6 miles slightly faster than the first 6.

This is the first time in over a month I've run farther than 12 miles and I'm happy to report no pain. The IT band has been trying to rear it's ugly head occasionally since the 50K a month ago, but I've finally noticed whenever I wear the hardrocks I seem to run pain free (at least the first 20 something miles are pain free). So it looks like it's hardrocks exlusively now for trail running.

Took an ice bath when I finished and feel pretty good, the Boulder marathon is officially now a go .
