My computer monitor bit the dust last night. I was using it and I got up to make dinner and when I came back the screen was blank...then I realized that I could just faintly see the outlines of what is supposed to be on my desktop so it must be the monitor, not the computer, thank gawd. I cannot survive without a computer so I had to fork over $200 today for a new monitor at Best Buy (I guess I will go pick it up at lunch). <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif">

Why'd you go buy a new one? I bet you could have found one second hand on Craigslist! This happened to me last summer and I was poking around on there. Lots were only $50! I got lucky because I happened to mention it to my parents and they had an extra monitor I could have for free. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>

If I could ship you one of my spare monitors, I would. But the cost would be prohibitive and probably more than a new one from near you...

Before you run out to best buy, see if anywhere around you sells refurbished monitors. That's what we did when our monitor bit the dust. It cost us $20.

The problem is I am booked solid working until 8am-10pm every day this week because we have a work conference so I dont have time to search around...it picked a really bad time to die as I desperately need a computer this week in particular. My work is buying me a laptop very soon though so that will be awesome!! <img alt="banana.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/banana.gif">
