Anyone here ever have to deal with this?

I have had a bone scan done and verified with an Orthopedist, so it is a done deal. No running until Jan 1 at the earliest. I have not run since Sept 14 and it is still nagging me at times. WTH?

I have no experience with that.... I thought I had a SF in my shin, but a bone scan showed nothing. A former running partner developed a SF in her femur, and she had to stop running for a couple of months.

I think the primary thing is for you to wait and let it heal. I am sorry to read about this. It is going to be a tough month + for you.... Hang in there!

(((ToddEP))) That is AWFUL!!! Be good and do what the doc said on this one....check to see if elliptical or swim-jog or even just swimming are viable options. Watch your diet, eat very clean, and focus on upper body weights---Jan 1st will be here before you know it!! Big thing is that when you do start back, you gotta start back SUPER SLOW, low mileage build and everything! Best of Luck!!
