Hi all, the FA post by roots made me wonder again about the possibility of a FA in French Creek Park or elsewhere in PA.

Merigayle et al., are there any further plans for doing something like this?

Not in the near future, but maybe in the summer. We may have a FA in VA over memorial day weekend since one of our beloved races is cancelled due to the RD being shipped off to Iraq

I heard a "rumor" that Team slug might been having some sort of "Rumble" in DE during June...

OK, thanks for the update.

I probably won't be able to make the tip to VA or DE, but would definitely be interested in something a little closer to home... will keep my eye out for further news...

Thanks again!

Delaware was not bad, we drove down race morning, it just took a couple hours, then drove back

A FA at French Creek would be awesome. Merigayle should get on it.
French Creek is great it can be technical or not depending on your trail choice.

We could meet up for a shorter trail run in the spring.

Well, if I hadn't let myself go over the winter I would join you all, but as it is, I find myself in the same situation as last year, too slow to run with anybody else as I'm doing the MAF low heart rate training and hitting 16:00 miles, barely running. Maybe in three months when I burn off the belly and rebuild some endurance I can check back in with you all. The Wissahickon Gorge in Philly is a place I would love to run with some other runners especially if they've never run there. Just so you know who I am, I used to post as Gregolowe on the Coolrunning board. My name is Greg. Merigayle and I chatted at the VT 50 briefly as we walked up a big hill and watched David Bowie drive by in a Volvo. I also missed some of you last year on a fall FA meet up in French Creek when I got lost.

Hi Greg!!!!!!!!
The only thing i am planning right now is some training weekends in Woodstock, VA to do some repeats on Woodstock Mountain in preparation for Western States

I am feeling much more confident. I ran a 100 miler last month in 25 hours, so that makes me MUCH more confident in staying ahead of the cut offs at WS. I have been training my tush off and doing some pretty heavy training with my coach, so i feel really ready. I have another 100 miler coming up, so more experience the better

Im jealous! I wish I was running western states (or could run western states). My wife and I are going to go out there and volunteer though. I will be on the cable at the Rucky Chucky River crossing and she will be at the aid station. It should be a lot of fun!
