Hi, I didn't see a thread for today, and wanted to make sure that Ray's race report had it's very own thread.

3 hours on the treadmill.

This was a "gear check" and a "time on my feet" check for pacing merigayle in Umstead.

All is well. No chafing on any garments. Carried the handheld the whole time. Everything I needed was stashed in my RaceReady capris.

I used Clif Shot Blocks at appropriate intervals, and amazingly had ZERO tummy problems.

Now I am tired and hungry.

Ugh. Terrible conditions. Today was supposed to be my hill repeats day. However, overnight we had 8 inches of snow.

The town plowed the sidewalks, but they almost missed.

The first two miles are essentially on the road, so I had no problem. The last 1.4 miles were awful plodding through the snow, slush, etc.

Instead of doing 10.5 today, I got to do 3.4.
Run Segments
Edited to add: Finding a way to run over an hour without intestinal issues is seriously exciting to me!

I was totally comfortable with the time. I'm feeling a little sleepy, but not like I killed myself.

Great running today.

I ran a really light 5.25 miles despite some hills. I thought I was in search of my family out for a walk. I misread a note left for me on the table and thought that they'd gone to the pool. So I ran downhill to the pool and along pathways back uphill to home. All good.

Tomorrow a 22 miler. I'm running it in spirit with SGH on her marathon.

Go get 'em girl!
