Last week looked like this for me (the week culminated in a pair of races on the weekend)

Mon - Rest
Tues - 3 miles (2 hard mile repeats) I went to do 5 mile repeats and just didn't have it, so I bagged early
Wed - 8.34 ez
Thurs - 7.25 ez
Fri - Rest
Sat - race 5K (warm up for sunday, ran easy 23:56 with a 7:15 and a 6:59 to get some speed feel) cool down 1 mile
Sun - Marathon Race (as a training run) chip time: 3:34:29 Ran a 10 min negative split with a 1:52x first half and a 1:42x 2nd half.

I feel pretty good, not shredded, some easy miles to start this week, and I should be right back into my training plan with no down time.

Total for the week: 48.9 miles

Weather and work getting in the way of running, but not fretting. Weather impacted the planned interval set, but was able to get 7 runs in:

Su- 7 E
M- 5 E (with 6x strides)
Tu- 4.25 (started 800m interval set but stopped due to miserable cold rain in 37F)
W- 5 E
Th- 8 total, with 3 @ T-pace (4x 1200m; with 1 min rests) T= 6:38
F- 4.25 E (with 4x strides)
Sa- 15 E (8:05 pace)

48.5 total on 7 runs

It's snowing today in Cleveland, so tonight's group workout is in jeapordy again. Oh the joys of winter training...

Yeah, I'm in Columbia Maryland, and the forecast is for 20 and a wintery mix. I didn't even pack tights or anything when I saw that on the weather.com last night. I brought shorts and t-shirt. I'll be on the hotel treadmill tonight and tomorrow morning.

sorry, I've been very slack about posting my training.

First of all, I need to change my goal race to Rite-Aid Cleveland Marathon May 16. Goal time remains the same.

ok, last week went like this:

M: 5.83mi (8:35), L lat gastroc a little sore
T: 10.83mi (8:19) incl 5x[[email protected], 100m jog], calf a bit more sore
W: 8.1mi (8:39), calf more sore, almost (not quite) gait-altering.
slowed way down last 20min.
R: 3.38mi (8:53) v short and easy per coach's advice; much better
F: 5.45mi (8:16), better still
Sa: 3.5mi (8:35), coach sez only short/ez if I intend to race Sunday
Su: 14.6 incl vastly disappointing half-marathon (1:32:14; 7F)

total: 51.7mi + xtraining (core-strength and leg strength)

I will not slack from now on.

For sure - I'm not asking about Athens just yet, but rest assured I want to do it and pace you guys to your BQ. It fits in perfectly and I know probably 10 people doing the race (that's a solid 8% of the field, I'll bet!!)
