<img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> I've been up here for awhile, wearing Roman around in the sling hoping he'd settle down, and he just hung out, checking stuff out, in a good mood, but wide awake. I know he was getting overtired, but he just wouldn't fall asleep!<br><br>
I took him out of the sling and started to swaddle him and he grinned his big gummy grin at me, and fell asleep.<br><br>
He didn't want me. He wanted to be swaddled.

Lily, there are going to be days when they are walking, talking, completely able to take care of themselves but you'll know they need something and they won't be able to tell you what that something is.

Sometimes that stimulation will keep their little brains in gear, and the swaddling just helps "hit the off button" so to speak.

Yeah--I know. Sometimes it makes me feel good when all they need is me.<br><br>
But sometimes it makes me feel good when I can lay them down and know they are okay without me long enough for me to pee or eat or something.<br><br>
I am going to miss this when their lives get more complicated than that.
