Anyone out there who owns a Sole treadmill - which model do you have?

We've re-evaluated our re-evaluation and have decided to get a treadmill before the winter gets nasty.

We've decided on a Sole (too highly recommended) but now I'm looking to see if there are any major advantages to getting one of the F80 models as opposed to the F63 model (warranty is the same).

Would appreciate any feedback/opinions.

I have the F80. It folds down some for easier storage and it is pretty easy to move although it is ridicuously heavy. I'd imagine that the F63 is a little harder to deal with if you wanted to move it around. Just hit 1500 miles of use last night, so it's definitely a workhorse.

Trev thanks...yeah I can't really find much different in the specs (and the info card we grabbed at Dick's this weekend said the F63 had been redesigned and going by it there were virtually no differences).

I'm in the market too... I'm thinking F80 because I know of one person that's already posted here that's had good luck with theirs.

The F80 I think has the ability to work with wireless HR, which is nice, and has HR based training. I'm not sure if the F63 has those.

I might look into the F63 a little more saving money is nice, but I do want something I can use for running, and DW can use for walking.

We've already cleared out a space for it... so the purchase should be coming soon...

I have the F63---and love it (compared to my old one)--it does have a wireless HR monitor, 15% incline (which is pretty unheard of)--many different programs to chose from, folds up for storage, and is easily moved (it has wheels so you can wheel to the new location)--I just bought mine 6 or 8 months ago----so its not that old, but I do love it. It also has a built in fan and its quiet (the fan and TM--I can easily watch TV without having to crank the volume).

NBJunkie thanks for your input!!!! I'm glad to hear that the F63 has wireless HR! What kind of mileage do you put on a treadmill, just out of curiousity?

My only concern with either the F83 or the F63 (or any treadmill) is the spot that DW and I agreed on is our 'bonus room' above the garage... soooo.... that's a lot of steps to carry a 250 pound object... I'm thinking a utility dolly can help... and if I can cash in some favors from some friends... its' doable.

Were they built like Pacer or Voo?

Thanks for the input though gang. I know Coach and Ailarie highly recommend the F80. After the holidays Im thinking im going to pick one up. Running in the summer here outside is teh suck!

MYKEMP--my mileage really varies--but around 30-40 miles a week (I am in a running slump so less the last few months)--However, I do use it a lot because of have small kiddos at home--so most of the time the only way I can get my run in, is on the TM--hope that helps--I would be glad to answer any questions on it....

Nope that covers it, it's doubtful I would run any more than 20-30 MPW - I'm hoping to suppliment some of my outdoor running. I also have a little one at home, and DW wants to use it for walking while he naps. I'd like to start doing some 2 a days, and I think that my early AM run would be easier to do on a treadmill.

I'm really going to weigh the options for the F63 and the F80. Orignially, I was just looking at the F80, but if I can save 500 that might be a really good thing

I was looking seriously at the F80, but caught a 25% off sale last week on Pacemaster and picked up a pacemaster platinum for not that much more than an F80. Comparing the two I liked the Pacemaster much more.

I think this is what PC has as well, so you could check in with him for a second opinion.

My running on both has been in the showroom.

Woot.... I was reading the Sole treadmill shipping info... for $99 more I can get them to put it in any room in my house... I'm thinking that would be money well spent. No use injuring myself and not being able to use the treadmill

Phillytom which one of the Pacemaster Platinums - I see 2 on their site.

Sorry, Pro VR. http://www.pacemaster.com/models.cfm?model=provr

It ended up being about 1875 with the sale. The Gold is also very nice, almost identical and was about 150 less. The Platinum has more do-dads, but also has a downhill feature (i.e. negative incline) and I thought that anything that could vary the terrain was worth for that price difference.

I had been watching these since last winter. They rarely went below 2K so I was happy with the price.

ETA: and those prices included delivery & setup. Thankfully for them it's going in my basement which has an outside entrance. I can't imagine how those guys get those things upstairs.

NB it does for me - one of the last concerns about getting the F63. Just might be getting a treadmill this weekend.
