I was reading running for T3s post on the daily workout...and Ronbo has a training garage...

Where is your trainer located?

Mine-in the living room? We have a 2 story split level...our LR has a "dining room" in it...but the dining room in the living room is in an awkward spot for a dining room. So-that's where my trainer is.

When I'm on the trainer hubby is happily playing world of warcraft. The dogs stay with me for a while and lick my legs from time to time...GROSS...then they get bored and join daddy downstairs.

Now that it's trainer season-where is yours?

dogs licking legs.

I find that's a way to make friends with them.
yuuuummmmmm salty lady.

My aunt's dog LOVES lotion. So, you have to wear long pants until the lotion smell dissipates a bit when you're around him. Hands and arms.....eh....in TX, those are up for doggy lick grabs.

Main Licker...momma's boy, Romeo

Only a face a mom can love. Funny thing is when he gets really excited licking he snorts.

Currently in the garage. I have it set up right in front of the door so I have the option of opening the door and watching the world go by while I sit there and go nowhere. Even in the cold, I kinda like it. This morning it was in the 40's out there and I didn't get super hot.

Other years, it's been set up in the basement. When my son starts training with me, most likely we'll be in the basement.

Advantage here--when hubby and I met, I lived in a rooming house. In the middle of my room sat my trainer. In my first 'real' apartment, it sat in the middle of the living room. So, very early on, he realized that the trainer would go where I wanted it--like it or not!

No basement so the garage. 1/2 the garage for the Civic, 1/4 for my trainer nook, and the last 1/4 for BrewDad's homebrew rig. The other car is parked outside.

My trainer is in the beautiful workout room my husband built last winter. He finished off a segment of the basement - sheetrocked/painted walls, acoustic tile ceiling, lights, tv/dvd/stereo speakers, etc. It sits right next to the treadmill and weight bench - I have no excuses not to work out!!!

He built this space b/c he was sick of being on the treadmill and seeing how messy the basement was. Now the normal basement mess is out of sight.

It was in the garage. I recently moved it into my "office/computer room/sactuary where I can watch ball games uninterruted/and take naps" room. It's getting crowded in here, but it's much better than the garage.

I keep mine in the garage next to my other two bikes, my kid's two bikes and my wife's bike. No room for the cars, they go outside.

living room, behind the couch. It's actually the first thing you see when you walk in our house.

We're moving into a new place soon, and we have a back-deck/sun-porch. It'll go out there, I think! After working out, I'm rarely even allowed to stand in our apartment - I need to go straight to the shower. I think we're getting a hose set up for an after-workout shower!

We have a finished 3rd floor attic, so it's up there. It's also where I keep my bike year round, which means I have to lug it up and down 3 flights everytime I go for a ride. You can imagine the black marks on the walls going up and down the stairs

It makes a fair bit of noise throughout the house and I wouldn't be opposed to having it set up in the garage, but our garage currently has all of DH's windsurfing stuff, his trailer, my car, and all of the other random stuff that garages have.
