I love the dinner threads. Gives me a lot of ideas for when I'm menu planning.

I'm still in search of a homemade version of a super succulent grilled pork BrewDad and I had in Italy a few years back. Attempt number god knows what is in progress for this evening. I've got a tenderloin brining with some salt, sugar, bay leaf, and fennel seed in the fridge which will be seared and oven roasted. Planning on a rosemary white bean puree and sauteed broccolini to go with along with a glass of wine, maybe semillon or viognier today.

What are you having?

At 8AM DW and I got the crock pot going. By 6 or 7, it's pulled pork tortilla wraps. Yum.

While we're on the subj. Tammy posted this Rustic Artisan Style Bread recipe in Master's.
http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19229

When I get home from work, I'm probably just going to have something lame like a bowl of cereal and some toast. But what I will be doing is cooking ahead for the next little while. Sauted chicken breasts in wine w/portabellos and veggies; Spaghetti w/ground turkey, and veggies in a homemade sauce. Maybe, if I'm really ambitious I'll make my favorite 10-alarm chili. A name coined by a friend who tried one spoonful, drank 10 oz of water straight down, and refused to eat any more of it. Both good wine choices, but I think I'd go with a Gruner Veltliner from Austria. I suppose not everyone has a GV sitting around under their house, though...

Haven't decided what to do for dinner yet, still waiting for inspiration to hit. It's almost lunchtime now, though, so inspiration better hit soon if I'm going to have to go to the store or long-cook anything.

Hmmm, we have leftover turkey burgers from last night, but that would be a good lunch for tomorrow. So, I'm not sure. Something with beans and wild rice. I have a recipe for mac and cheese with fake cheese (nutritional yeast, tahini, miso and other stuff), but Matt may balk at that. He's a pretty good sport, but he has his limits.

Maybe a pizza or tomato pie, salad and some turnip greens. Hmmmm. Don't know.

Bring over the GV and I'll share the tenderloin.

Attempting to recover from 2.5+ hour tire change ordeal which ended with me wanting to hurl my wheels into the street but instead drove to the LBS so the wrenches could help me. Apparently, and I quote, "the nicer the wheels and tires, the harder the process is..." Enjoying a glass of water and then I'm going out on a ride to blow off some steam.

We're having homemade pork green chile. We grew the peppers in our garden last summer, roasted them, and put them in the freezer to use over the winter. Also making guacomole to with it. Some Sol beer w/lime will accompany the meal.

We are having another of my favorite easy dishes.

Take a chicken breast and make 2-3 slices in the top, stuff slices with swiss cheese and ham. Season, add zuchinni, tomato, white wine and make a foil bag. Pop in the oven. Tasty!!!
