Are you having any issues getting motivated to get in your runs?

Does anyone have a New Year's Eve race planned?

I'm going to participate in a virtual 5K on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas). Details here: http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17185

I'll just be on my TM, taking it easy on my foot.

My daughter is running her first 5K ever on New Year's Eve, so I'll be there as a spectator! Our town has a First Night celebration, lots of fun.

I have a run planned for today, so I will be sure to get in runs before and after Christmas day.

I might run tomorrow morning. I am definitely running on New Year's Day, but will also run Thursday and probably Friday this week. I'm not sure about the weekend, visitors are coming, but they're runners, so we should get in one run, at least.

My first 1/2 marathon is Sunday the 30th so my running is mostly easy this week. 6 mile tempo run tomorrow and 5 easy miles Thursday and I'm done. Haven't decided on the virtual 5K but if I do it, it will be slow.
Good morning and Merry Christmas.

Motivation isn't my problem, it's scheduling. A coupala times I was up till very late getting thigns ready for the next day and just couldn't get out of bed at 4:15 like I normally do. This morning, however, I did get in 6.5 really nice relaxing miles.

Had some bread rising overnight, knocked it back just before my run and it's in my oven as I write this. Looks like fresh bread and hot choccolate for breakfast for me!

I'm racing a 5k on New Year's Eve. Got a good shot at a PR, plus I'll use my time to determine my VDOT and training paces for my next marathon training cycle which begins 2nd week fo Jan.

I'm using the time off to boost my mileage. This is a tough time of year for running with snow on the ground and having to run in the dark before work. I always cut back in the winter but lately I've been lucky to get in a run or two a week.
