<p>Stoopid dog!!  I knew she was chasing something in the ivy in the back yard.  I figured it was another mole, squirrel, or chipmunk.  But then she started barking and growling at something in the middle of the yard...not her normal, back away from my yard bark. </p>

<p>I went to investigate and there sits a 4 ft long eastern snake, coiled and ready to strike at her.  Thank goodness they aren't venomous...but of all the crap she could stalk, did it have to be a freaking snake?? </p>

<p>I got bit by a rather large King snake while doing a poor exhibition on how to catch a snake for my then 5 yr old son.  Non-venemous but they do have a mouthful of sharp needle-like teeth and can draw a fair amount of blood...</p>

<p>Couple years ago I was out walking my American bulldog Jack. Saw what I thought was a rubber snake on the sidewalk in front of a house where a bunch of kids lived. Didn't think anything of it until WACK!!! Jack smacked his huge paw down on it's neck area and leaned all his weight on that leg. Squished that snake dead.</p>

<p>It was just a little gardner (or however you spell that) snake, but still. Good dog. He was awefully proud of himself too. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/lol.gif" title=""></p>

<p>Bella is only about 50lbs so I doubt she would have squished the snake...but I was more worried about infected wounds, etc if the snake bit her.  I just dropped $200 for her meds, I can't afford any medical bills!</p>
