At the CSA meeting yesterday they brought in some spinach, potatoes and chives.

I decided to saute the spinach and add it to some pasta sauce for dinner tonight. I misread the recipe and accidentally substituted pine cones for pine nuts. Not bad but a little crunchy for my taste.

If you have leftovers, maybe you could put them out for the squirrels.

Community Supported Agriculture. It's the best thing since, uh, since the MegaFarm, which got us where we are today. The MegaFarm still has it's place, we still need to crank out very large volumes of food to feed the masses, but for people who want to support locally grown (often organically grown) foods, this is really a neat alternative.

I have been watching this trend for years, and although I generally grow ALMOST enough to support our summertime produce needs, I signed up to support a CSA farm this year, and I am very excited about it!
